Haynes and Phillips are both doing pretty well, however TM's "pre-injuries" back four of Ricketts, Martin, Turner & Stokes didn't half give us a stronger physical presence.

Probably because most are too young to have seen Mortimer or Carr.

Best City XI of All-time (Strikers)

If we were voting for a partnership then it would have to be Ferguson and Wallace. As individuals, I think that Wallace has to be in there - the best and probably bravest finisher I ever saw in a Cov shirt. For the other, it's really got to be Dublin. Such a consistently good performer while he...

Almost made a late decision to go today. So glad the tickets sold out early, so that not going doesn't seem such an awful decision!

Best City XI of All-time (CM)

I've always felt exactly the same, but I've been reading the Sky Blues Heroes book over the last few days (Xmas pressie) and in that Emerson says that the "incident" with Megson was a complete accident.

Best City XI of All-time (CM)

Quite a few candidates for these positions. I think that I'll have to go for a Yorath & Mortimer combination, with a very near miss for Willie Carr and honourable mentions for Gibson, McAllister, Boateng, Stuart Robson's brief but excellent cameo, Steve Hunt and Barry Powell. 60's

Thought I saw him limping a couple of times in the first half against Vale. Let's hope it's nothing serious.

Good Ticket Sales For Boxing Day

I think that most of the "regulars" probably do. Boxing Day is generally up there with the highest gates in the season. That suggests that a good number of non-regulars will be there - or at least will be thinking of coming. I think that the question is whether it's unreasonable to expect the...

Fair enough to suggest new ideas to the club, but needing to suggest that they have some tickets available on line for the Boxing Day home game?

    Best Ever Christmas Match ?

Yep, we were at Villa on Boxing Day that year. The game Graham Oakey got injured in.
