That is just shite defending - indefensibly poor at any level of football. All half our set up out of our possession has been strange. A flat 4 sitting in front of flat back 5. At least 5 yards too deep, no pressure on the ball despite numbers, with too much space for them to play around us...

Quite enjoyed that. Open game which by my reckoning we’ve had the better of. Not everything has come off but overall this is ours to win, and think we still will. Sorry to say, but Godden’s miss was atrocious for this level, shocking.

Arrived at 11.40 and thought it was going to be horrendous seeing the length of queue at our usual entry point, but turned out to be very quick. In seats just after 11.50 and had time to get food and drink… Good natured banter in the queue with no issues of people abusing stewards or pushing in etc.

Assuming all fit and healthy reckon same starting XI as last week, so Palmer stays in, Godden up top. Personally I’d probably prefer Simms over MG but don’t think MR will see it that way. Tough conditions/pitch so hope we are up for the battle. If we are then I say we’ll take by the odd goal.
