I'm not sure what the reasoning was behind playing 5-2-1-2 and trying to play possession higher up the pitch. Sheaf/Eccles were constantly outnumbered & we were so vulnerable in transition. The answer is probably we thought we'd have Hamer who could cover so much space in the middle.
