    2 games to go

All 4 of those played against Derby didn't they? Basically he same thing happened It is tactical rather than personnel

He adapted to start the winning run earlier in the season - he isn’t utterly wedded to 4-3-3 (although it took zero wingers) Surely he can see the ineffectiveness of the formation away from home

    5 at the back?

Earlier this season when Luton played Sheff U at home - Sheff U started with a back 4 and Luton were absolutely hammering them but couldn’t score At HT Wilder changed it and matched their formation (3-5-2) and they dominated the second half and won the game Frank needs to adapt similarly

If Frank can adapt I still give us a fighting chance of going up If we try to do the current system better I don’t see us going further than the semi-final - we simply haven’t got the players yet

    5 at the back?

Put it in the match thread but we won games during our winning run with both/either Lati & Binks in a 3 Think I prefer it to Lati in a 4 Agree we need Thomas back though

Neither are as bad in a 3. During our winning run: Binks played in wins against Bristol, Blackburn and QPR Lati played in wins against Bristol, Blackburn, Watford, Swansea, Sheff Wed Obviously you’d hope Thomas could come back in if at all possible but it’s certainly better than either of...

I can’t think of a reason not to play 4-3-3 at home and 5-3-2 away from home Saka is basically pointless away from home and him for a CB would be the only change we’d need to make

We knew this though Frank will lament us not executing the system well enough but he could’ve adapted today - let’s hope he does against Luton as it will be very similar

We’ve got two away games left (if we finish in the play offs) I’d rather we stink the place out in a 5-3-2 than try to control the game in a 4-3-3 If we start with a 4 against Luton we might as well all back Luton to score 1.5+ and all make some money

    5 at the back?

Today will be a blessing if Frank realises we’re fucked playing a 4 away from home - no point getting to the play offs as we’ll crumble in the away leg with how we’re playing 5-3-2 against Luton, stay solid, hit the channels, match their battle

Said it for a while we need to go to a back 5 away from home and make it more of a battle - that is how we kept winning away from home during our amazing run

They’re good when they’ve got space to counter and shite against teams who make it a battle Problem is we’ll likely employ the former

That is way better than ours… No doubt it’s a very tough game and the way we play is suited to them However, play how we did last 2 games and we’ll get a result

    Grimes Sheaf Rudoni

Kypriannou would be a good fit as he is free - we’d have: Grimes - Allen Sheaf - Kyp Rudoni- Torp Maybe keep Andrews around as 7th midfielder as Sheaf/Torp/Allen/Rudoni have all had injuries this season

    Milan van Ewijk

Probably the 3rd best signing after Vik & Gus since the return to the championship Gonna be hard to replace in the summer if we don’t go up, his recovery pace saves us so often

    3 games to go

4 points should be enough for 6th (as long as we don’t lose to boro) 7 points should get 5th - really hope we can achieve this

Maybe it is to get a small fee for him. Could see someone like Blackburn/Derby coming in for him in the summer.

Who do you want to be relegated / promoted?

Surprised anybody wants Bristol/Boro/Sunderland - I don't want anybody else getting on the parachute payments gravy train, will only make it harder the more teams that have it. I'm all in on the make the championship easier next year: 1. Burnley, Leeds, Sheff U (will be very strong next year...
