thorn said King had signed a contract as well as a lot of other things!!!!

that is exactly the point - there is no signs at all that there will be any kind of replacement, therefore he will be missed. i don't think anyone can say he was the most gifted of footballers, but effort wise you can't fault the guy, he always gave it 100% and was still one of the better...

put yourself in Clive Platts position - age 34, coming to the end of your career, take a 1 year deal at a higher level, more competitive, more risk of injury, less chance of being successful and scoring goals. OR take a 2 year deal in a lower league, probably on similar money, more chance to...

are you not contradicting yourself somewhat there then??? IF we had decent replacements then yes he would not really be missed, however FACT is there are no other options, nothing in the pipeline, and as he was one of our best options of course he will be missed for next season???

thats part of the point, with no other replacements we have to try and keep hold of what we got, Platt was certainly one of the better if not only striking options we had.

    Good News Story

nice to see something good happening - any decent strikers there??? we could do with a couple, can't afford to pay much, would be an ideal situation all round i reckon. seriously though - well done to SBITC, nice to see something being given back

    Richard Wood

i just commected on another post the lack of goals in the squad, Cody will get goals if he stays fit and handle the pressure/expectations of being the only striker we've got. ROD looks like he'll be gone befor ethe season starts, Jeffers looks good in the academy, and may well be ok, not sure i...

    City songs

i think we need some more songs for individual players, if Keogh stays surely we can come up with something better than 'there's only one richard keogh..... ???

Why oh why the Mass Hysteria!

BSB i agree, if we lose 1 or 2 of our defenders we'll still be ok as we've got pretty good cover there, but midfield and more so up front we are always going to struggle. Cody will get goals in lg 1 i'm sure, but theres a hell of a lot of pressure on him if nothing changes before the season...

    McPake

i think a fit McPake would be 1st choice centre half anyway alongside Keogh, or along side Cranie and Keogh at right back. Either way if he comes back fit at the start of the season - and he should do after playing for hibs, and is full of confidence for reaching the scottish cup final, i think...

i think platty would of done a great job for us in Lg1, 100%effort every game, may not be the most talented striker or finisher but at least you could see he gave it everything good luck to him

    magpies eye skyblues ace bigi

if he goes i certainly dont think it will be his choice or money motivated. if it was for a mid table championship side who maybe will push for promotion i'd say good luck to him he might stand a chance, but a top 6 Prem side? he'll be lucky to get anywhere near the bench at best

if all the rumours come off we won't have a squad for next year!

    bye bye keogh :(

Keogh was by far our best player last season, reflected in a clean sweep of awards end of season. Also the decent run we went on 5 games before end of season was when he was captain and the players seemed to have more fire and passion. For me we've got to try and keep him, Club Captain for...
