The report on last night's "Nations League" defeat to Spain seemed to imply that Wiegman wasn't particularly bovvered about winning it, and was more concerned with trying out new formations, tactics and players. Good advert for the pointless competition (which i hate in the men's game too)...

    Israel - Palestinian Conflict

Sorry, it's time for a UN peacekeeping force to go in and enforce a demilitarised zone to protect the Palestinians. But Hamas need to give the hostages back.

There are over 14,000 "second homes" and more than 11,000 "holiday lets" in Cornwall, which cannot be far short of what the unmet housing need for that part of the world for the foreseeable future (4,421 new builds per year, according to the new government methodology for determining build rate).

"I'll make a little comment about the ability of our front 3 to score goals, but i'll accompany it with a sexy little dance". Fuck right off!

The Speaker is exactly right here. And people accused him of bias under the last government. NO - he is doing his job of holding the government to account. Good on you, Sir Lindsay.

"X" is like that for me these days. I don't know whether it's because anyone i was following has decided to leave or whether the changes in the "For You" vs "Following" tabs have been Musked about with so much that i just don't understand how to use the platform anymore, i can't say. Either way...

Not any more - if you are on Universal Credit, you get your rent paid to you as well "so that it teaches people how to manage their money". Yeah manage it away on fags, booze, bookies, Sky TV and huge mobile costs! Potentially, anyway.

    Things that annoy you

People on local Facebook groups (especially) who comment, in the aftermath of a road accident or some similar incident "I hope everyone's OK". What they *actually* mean is "Please can someone give me a like and pass on some juicy gossip?" Pointless wastes of space and air!

    Champions League 24/25

I wasn't a fan of theirs after the Qatari takeover when they tried to buy their way to titles, but since changing their ethos, they have become much more likeable. They seem like a team who play for each other rather than a collection of selfish prima donnas! Good on them!

He is also not a comedian. Well, not in the conventional sense of the term, where someone makes you laugh. He tried his hand at it for a while, using his silly Estuarine whine reminiscent of Andy Parsons off Mock the Week, but now seems to have adopted right-wing politics and "citizen...

    Liverpool Car Incident

He kept going, even when there were people on the ground under his car. It was deliberate, for my money, even if he was having some form of "episode". But why was he arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs (quite specifically) if he isn't charged with that?

    Liverpool Car Incident

As if any of that provides an excuse! I am very surprised by the rolling back on the scale and severity of the charges compared to the arrests cited above.

Yeah, exactly, but have been around in the UK a bit longer in this incarnation, so a longer history of long-term road tests.

Exactly, so releasing their ethnicity if NOT whiter-than-white would be tantamount to a breach of the peace. If the people in the crowd on Monday had seen it was someone other than who it (allegedly) was, he would be pushing up the daisies by now, i'd bet! It's an impossible situation for the...

Interesting stuff. It's encouraging to see a Women's side that is aligned to a Prem club having their own stadium rather than being forced to use the training ground or playing in quarter-full stadiums for their blue riband matches.
