We won’t be seeing much of Dasilva, Binks and Eccles again after today.. Hopefully EMC, Haji and Sheaf back by next weekend.

Lots of changes for me. Binks, Dasilva, Eccles, Bassette, Rodrigues to start. Burroughs at RWB perhaps.

Match Thread Coventry City vs Leeds United - Match Thread - Weds 5th Feb 7.45pm KO

Simms was good. Unlucky with that clever header 2nd half, but excellent save. Dovin poor for 2nd goal . Good saves 2nd half but most were straight at him. As someone else said, felt like a game from earlier in the season. No bite in midfield. and being picked off at will on the counter...

    Where does Norman fit?

Where has this doubt and criticism of Bassette come from. He's 19. Looks an exciting forward with an attitude. He was given a run under Lampard as Wright was injured and Simms & BTA were not in form. He did pretty well.

Match Thread Coventry City vs Leeds United - Match Thread - Weds 5th Feb 7.45pm KO

I think Grimes starts. He's cup tied on Saturday. Big marquee signing, and we're playing the leaders. We need an experienced sitting DM for this match. Wouldn't surprise me if Torp makes way

Match Thread Coventry City vs Leeds United - Match Thread - Weds 5th Feb 7.45pm KO

What a cracking fixture. Leaders at home, under the lights and we've hit form. A nice dilema for Frank whether to start Grimes. Despite Allen, Torp & Rudoni all playing well, Leeds are on another level to Swansea & Watford. We might need more steel in there for this one.

    Tavares

He really hasn't. It hasn't helped he's suffered long injuries over the last couple of years. He's a CF and I felt sorry for him being shoved out on the wing last season. Still, he did OK there (Soton away, and Man U)

Rhys Carr leaves by Mutual Consent

He's looked particulary sour-faced on the bench since Frank came in. To be fair, we played well at Sunderland & home against Sheff Utd when he was caretaker (but were awful at Burnley). What was Robins doing bringing him & Boateng in as Head Coaches. Don't think either were at the level.

    Transfer Rumour Matt Grimes

Would imagine Frank had him on his radar for quite a while, as a top DM/CM, and he should know. We have already seen the improvement in Allen, Rudoni & Torp since he took over. I think this could be a top, top signing. I still hope Sheaf may stay too. He needs to get back to proper fitness...

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

How many games has Tavares played or even come on as a CF. We saw quite a lot of him last season as a RWF which clearly he isn’t, but did OK. I’m not saying he’s good enough at all, but would be interesting to see him play up front with a partner. Never known such an unused player.

Match Thread Blackburn Rovers - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 21st Jan

Thought the Blackburn forward Gueye was a real threat last night. Expected he'd be a Premier League loan, but he's 27 and they signed him permanently in the summer and he's only scored 2 goals this season

    Bidders New Contract

    Good player. Happy with this

    Transfer Rumour BTA to Blackburn

If we get over 3 million for Lati & BTA, and manage to bring in 3-4 players (1-2 loans), then that's good business. Neither player will start against Bristol City.

    Transfer Rumour BTA to Blackburn

Rosario's first season (91/92) wasn't great under Butcher, and then Don Howe's ultra defensive side. Even Gallagher struggled in that team. Paul Furlong scored 5 goals in 8 games and then didn't score again after November or something. He blossomed the following season, and as you say formed a...

    Lati off?

Not if we're playing wing backs now. He was good against Sheff Weds, and he was signed to play LWB. He should never play LB in a 4 though.

    What Happened Last Season?

I remember 12 months ago, and the feeling of optimism around the club & the fans. We beat Leicester at the CBS, and thrashed Oxford in the cup. O’Hare was back and firing. Sakamoto, Wright & Simms were blooming, and we had a solid CB partnership in Thomas & Kitching. Then……. Dennis Lawrence...

    Transfer Rumour Kitching to Blackburn

Always liked Kitching (as a player) from the first time I saw him. Strong, drives forward, good passer, and a bit of a nasty b*stard. H His form last season from Nov-March was good. He (and others) lost form, post Wolves. Apart from Sheff Weds game this season, I think he's done well when...

    Season over?

No, as (however unlikely it seems at the moment) we could go on a run. Win 4 or 5 in a row and we're right up there. + There will be new players coming in next month. I think Frank has done a good job so far, but he needs 1 window, to really judge him. All is not lost. 2-3 new players...

Transfer Rumour Van Ewijk to Galatasaray

Even last season, one of the most frustrating players I've watched for Cov. Great recovery pace, decent passer, and actually not bad defensively, however his reluctance to take on his man, and poor crossing is an eye-sore for me. Wouldn't be averse to him moving on, but we need a top class...

    Plymouth ratings

II’d sell Simms in Jan and buy a winger who would compete with Saka, Rodrigues and, ENC in the wide positions. Rudoni and BTA are not WFs. Surely our front 3 will be EMC, Wright & Saka once everyone is back Wright, Bassette and BTA as CFs. I’d prefer we kept Simms but we’d get a good fee
