No-ones under any delusion of there being infinite money, but let's look at the evidence re Starmer/Reeves Their manifesto was all about fixing the black hole with growth by reducing regulation and red tape as well as other potential tax incentives. Since coming in they have consistently gone...

You will apparently still be able to save £5k tax free in an ISA. If you can do that over a 40yr working career that's still 200 grand with tax free interest. Plus other options to invest and save.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I've wondered since before the election is all the policy wonks that knew the Tories were getting wiped out jumped ship to save their own ass. Policy definitely started to become more right led leading up to the election and the manifesto certainly came across as something that had been written...

Who was in goal the furst game you saw ?

Is that a euphemism and is it why everyone started talking about it?

Who was in goal the furst game you saw ?

Well they are quite similar names. I'm pretty sure Oggy was in goal for my first game - Torquay FA Cup 1988

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

This was my point. It wasn't about letting them fail, it was about making sure they had to a lot more to get it. I'm just advocating we should have used the system they are so keen to laud when it suits them. If you're in the shit and need help, we get to dictate the terms of it. The banks...

So if they do less hours those hours become available and we have more people in work do we not?

So we just wait for them to do it again? Cos they will. Like a naughty child given what they want they'll just keep on dong it knowing they'll get a way with it. Given them a smack and they stop. So do you want to put up with the short term problems now or have this same situation going on...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

You've really fallen for the nonsense the rich have peddled so they can have more money haven't you? You talk about the jobs their money creates. Firstly, the argument was that the vast majority of their wealth is non-tangible and doesn't really exist so that money isn't getting spent anywhere...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Disagree about bailing out the banks being the right thing to do. They caused their own problems, so why should the taxpayers bail out an industry that supposedly believes in free market and 'dog eat dog'? It basically told them they can do what they like and fuck everyone over with no...

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

Hence why I wonder if he may try to gain even more control over the court in some way or another for judges who will just toe his line.

So basically trying to get a Rep/Trump court to rule on everything.

Sadly, yes. But that's nowhere near enough control from him. One through the Reps dragging out an Obama pick so he left office before confirmation. One that annoyed me the most was RBG. At her age she must have known there was a chance she wouldn't survive and should have stepped down during...

I agree, but also a big part of that is squad depth. Having a player who can come in of a similar/same standard so your first choice doesn't have to pay 3 games in a week can play a massive part in not picking up non-contact injuries.

I think our courts are slightly better protected, though not completely, from this sort of political machinations. I have wondered if Trump could basically get members of the SC arrested and convicted (or bumped off) and thus replace them with his own picks.

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

How would that work? What if two courts in two different states are ruling on effectively the same issue? How could they both apply nationwide when they could totally contradict each other?

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Trouble is raising a tax free threshold ultimately is more benefiical to the wealthy as they benefit from not hitting the higher tax bands as quickly. as far as I'm concerned the tax free amount should be the amount it costs for basic housing, food and energy. Basically we need to make work...

Always wonder how that plays out against injuries from Xmas onwards, especially if you have a squad without significant back ups to allow players to rest.
