    Not normally one to bleat…

Central news last night was a bit embarrassing - was definitely done from a West Brom perspective.

    Champions League 24/25

I don’t mind Villa per se nowadays. Villa fans however….. Although saying that i do know a few through work and the kids football and they’re alright to be fair, although they’re not chelmsley wood type fans, haven’t got the harsh accent. I always take an interest in what/how they’re doing.

    Balcony street bar

That’s the one I’d like to try, and my kids to be fair, but very pricey. Thing is for any ‘proper’ corporate offering where you get food it’s gonna be that sort of money. Be interested to see if The Padded Seat get asked back to do some of the other packages. id like to be in The Mill to be...

Simms up top then with Haji out wide. I think that will work better. as for sources - rule number 1 is never reveal them. But it’s the kitman surely? 😆

Yeah same - was there but one of those where I had to try and find it after just to hear it. I listened back to the montage they did after robins was sacked earlier today and yeah the wolves ones are pretty good to be fair. I just liked the Hamer one because it was like it was ‘the’ moment we...

The commentary for Hamer’s goal against Luton in the final was brilliant. Oggy in the background too muttering “come on” and then “bury it” when it came to Gus. But Clive going “here’s Hameeerrr!” - class. best goal I’ve ever seen live and possibly the best bit of Cov commentary too.

Match Thread Coventry City - Portsmouth FC Match Thread - Wednesday 9th Apr

BBC reporting that Wilson still isn’t 100% in his knee being being right. Also, whilst I think everybody thinks that maybe a change is needed - there’s two other things to consider: 1. It will probably be even more detrimental to Collins confidence if he is dropped (especially given the chances...

So many point do you think we need to confirm a play off place ?

I thought when we had 8 games to go we needed 4 wins (or equivalent) from them. so I reckon 12 points (71) will get us in. Puts the pressure on the so-called winnable games. Have to beat pompey, and by a couple of clear goals.

Long awaited return to the Premier League.

Couldn’t agree more. My first game was 1989 so top flight/prem football for what 12 years? Saw some of the worlds best at the time. but yeah all the shite that goes with it I can do without - add in to the mix over-analysis (MNF), and big teams (Liverpool) moaning if one tiny decision goes...

    Worst ever referee?

Tells you everything you need to know about EFL/Championship refs that when you’re in the playoffs they appoint premier league refs. Those games matter more than all the others I guess and don’t trust the usual shower with the responsibility. 2023 we had Bobby Madley, David Coote and then...

    Worst ever referee?

I just hate how teams like Burnley and sheff utd are essentially rewarded for this behaviour. they don’t just get away with it, it helps them prosper whereas with us we seem to get punished by it. Van ewijk got booked for avoiding an assault. Example: Sheff Wednesday last year - Kitching gets...

    Who was you childhood hero?

First was probably David Speedie, then Kevin Gallacher. Then Dublin, Huckerby and Boateng - had shirts with Dion and Boateng’s names on

    Eight Years Ago

I was there - club Wembley right behind the goal - with my daughter and my old man and a group of other chaps. Cracking day out. I was actually signed off work at the time with stress/low mood etc so it was a really welcome event. Also I confess that whilst we’d been to a few games the season...

    Overrated players

Wouldn’t it just…. but he’d have never dropped Shearer (nor would I in fairness - that 1997/1998 period I had him and R9 as the best two strikers in the world)

    Overrated players

Dion absolutely should have been in the 98 squad - the issue I suppose was that shearer would never have been subbed off, so you’d have to be a partner for him…. The others then went arguably would have been better or already established partnerships - sheringham, Owen, Ferdinand, even Merson...
