Interesting point on the 6 second rule…. The law says can’t hold ball in hand for longer than 6 seconds before releasing it….. I’ve seen that interpreted somewhere that if the keeper bounces the ball it resets the timer, although if he’s seen to be clearly time wasting then he should be penalised.

The ref in the Sunderland 3-0 game was the best I’d seen this season But yeah today he kept control, handled the players really well. No really contentious decisions. Even prem refs/lino’s won’t get everything right but you do see a noticeable difference generally.
