Most of our clean sheets are with Kitch and Thomas. Play them in a 4 with Bidwell back in and we would look more solid. Binks is unlucky as he is a tidy footballer but we need a more uncompromising defensive style in the next few weeks.

Get a sense from hearing about connections outside of football between King and Lampards extend family and the confirmation of Lampard being in the running at the fans forum. Was this always Dougs thinking even before the Derby game and he has simply been saluting the process?

His record at Everton and West Ham is not bad though and he has won a European trophy. West Ham are doing worse since he left and he is is a stable manager. Even if he is not a swashbuckiling type, those credentials appeal to me.
