    Hockaday for Crawley?

Would be a good fit for both sides imo. Obviously prefer Mowbray for ourselves but upturn in performance also coincided with Hockaday's appointment. I wish him well, wherever he goes, fairly sure he won't be stopping here!

    Meeting with new backroom staff

It will be ten years since a top half finish (the glory days of 2005-06!) so that would be a start! I'm sure TM would be aiming for promotion but I guess most of us would settle for consolidation/top 8 or 10!

When did you last buy a Cov shirt ?

    Blimey, David Nugent's aged!! :D

When did you last buy a Cov shirt ?

I must be a twat then!! Nothing wrong with wearing shirts to matches. Especially away - gives you some identity and home fans always want to stop and chat. I do draw the line at putting your name on the back though - that IS sad!! :D

Jackson wants to score some goals

Who is Simeon Jackson?!!! :D Tbh my biggest memory of him this season is getting cheered by the Gillingham fans at Priestfield while City fans were looking on bemused!

"Nothing in particular " games that linger in the memory......

City 2-3 West Ham cup semi final 1st leg HR . I was gutted Dead right Hutch. Was definitely gutted after the second leg though! Bloody Jimmy Neighbour! Wouldn't put either game in the 'Nothing in particular' category anyway. It was a League Cup semi-final for God's sake!!!

    Dion Dublin in Coventry

Definitely would buy him a pint. Absolute legend! My son's hero when I first started taking him up to Highfield Road as a nipper! I even forgive him being from Leicester!!

    Callum Wilson

Sounds like you there CJ! Like you we went both to Yeovil and Villa. Definitely the better game yesterday in a top class stadium - God I miss those days! Pity Bournemouth didn't play Callum and the rest of their first team from the start, they might have nicked it. As it was 2 Villa goals were...

What Other Team Could You Support ?

There are other Cov fans who feel the same! At half time at Gillingham we were all discussing our fantasy league teams when Costa had scored two, or do they prefer fantasy football to live, I don't know!!

What Other Team Could You Support ?

Don't worry - you're not on your own! Also struggle to understand how you might love a club but not necessarily the sport! As already said Cov are my team but I love football and would be happy to stop and watch a parks match if I was passing by!!

What Other Team Could You Support ?

Coventry City will always be my team while they exist and still go to a couple of games per month. This season though has really been a test and matches at the Ricoh have been particularly poor. Because we started the season at Sixfields my son and I went to the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round at...

    Gillingham

My son and I are going. First visit to Gillingham since the famous 5-2 win (Eric Black, Richard Shaw and all that!) A similar result would be nice...or at least a goal...ok..a shot on target!!

    Scotland vs England

It's a bit like Cov v Villa! Cov fans hated Villa - Villa fans not bothered - Villa usually won!! Expect the same story tonight with Scots v England.

    The Butts Stadium

Walsall would be in the league above us! But would have a big 'local' derby v Northampton!!

    Any refs out there

No problem with the sending off but he and the linesman clearly missed the original offence. That said, so did I! However, something I did spot which was strange! In the first half their no.8 was booked for fouling Maddison and giving away the penalty. In the second half, Worcester were time...

    BBC FA Cup

As Burge had retaliated then sending off was correct but if ref had seen original trip by Worcester player then we would have had a free kick. Btw did anyone else see the ref show a yellow card to their no.8 for timewasting but didn't actually book him! If he had he should have been off as he'd...

    O'Brien Threatens Teenager

I was a few rows back Didn't hear what was said but Jim O'Brien def wasn't happy. Don't blame him for having a go tbh if he was called a wanker. Well done to CJ too. From my viewpoint he seemed to keep them apart!

This made me smile as I was there! better times

Went to both games. HR was immense- such excitement. Didn't really get going in second leg but looked to be heading for extra time until Jimmy Neighbour popped up with that goal. Remember it well. My dad actually taped the commentary from the radio - and I still have the cassette tape! Also got...

Random players who always have a good game against us

Iain Hume scored a few, also Peter Whittingham and Rob Earnshaw. Remember also always lost to Burnley usually Chris Eagles or Robbie Blake scoring for them.

Formation no better than Thorn's diamond

Not a great fan of the system so far and not great to watch. Seen 5 games and 8 goals (5 in the Bradford game!) Accept though that it is still early days and lost last two games due to sending off and penalty. Could argue that lost at Bradford due to penalty as well. The problem is that we lack...
