Thought he had come on leaps and bounds under Lampard. Definitely missed him for play offs, particularly the first leg.

Would be best for both parties. We all have different opinions, which is what makes football so good but I genuinely see him being a lower end champ player at best. I have really struggled with him from day one and don’t think he’s improved in the two years he’s been here.

Think they’ve both improved massively throughout the season tbf. But then stats don’t lie, we concede too many goals and so we need to upgrade at least one of them for me. Most prob Kitching.

Why is Simms clearly a good player? What do you think he is good at? 1 in 4 for at this level is not a good return on a striker that cost a significant amount of money. He doesn’t bring people into play either as his hold up play is woeful.

I’ve had this discussion multiple times, but the occupying defenders thing, while true, is the absolute minimum you’d expect from a striker. BTA ‘occupied’ the defenders for Rudoni’s header in the first leg for instance. If you’re in the box, defenders will mark you.

I do wonder if something has happened behind the scenes, as he was getting some game time. But he can have no complaints about getting no minutes, he’s been dreadful all season and is so ineffective. I just think we’d have got no more out of him than we got out of Wright last night. We have...
