    BTA > Simms

He’s definitely made a case for himself but let’s have it right, BTA has put in some non-league performances for us. Starting him in such a big game following 30 odd minutes in two games after barely kicking a ball in anger for months is a jump. He had acres against a Boro team chasing the game...

Agree. I’d like to see (hear) a completely new line up with only Oggy retained. Even the back ups/occasionals are crap. Not sure who the bloke was who did the phone in last night but I had to turn off after 10 mins, proper grating.

    BTA > Simms

Not gonna play the telephone pole role though is he, which changes the tactics considerably. Don’t get me wrong, Simms has proven this season he is pony. But he does jump for longer balls and temporarily occupy defenders (even if he doesn’t win it). And BTA has had plenty of games where he has...

Definitely the loudest We live and die today, easily. Boro fans gave up at that point.

This is brilliant 😍 love history like this. They should make a mini series about it. I first went up aged 12 in the 98/99 season. Can’t remember the game but my stand out memory was being offered a blow job for £12 by a haggard woman with no teeth leaving a night game… that stays with a 12 year...

    Israel - Palestinian Conflict

The idea that Palestinians could flee Gaza, not that they should, is undermined by the great big fuck off wall around it and military checkpoints to get in and out. It has descended into a quasi prison for the people. Like suggesting my daughter’s rabbits should flee their locked hutch.

    Biamou or Simms

Id take Clive Platt at this point. At least he won a header.

Id gladly not see Simms jogging around and half heartedly jumping to miss every header again. He ain’t good enough and/or doesn’t have the drive. Stealing a living. Wright at least got stuck in, won stuff in the air and turned his man a few times. Collins, well, its all been said. Has to be our...

    Lampard

I dunno. I thought his in game management was spot on today. Reacted to the cards perfectly. All arguably undone, however, by starting Collins.

Thomas and Kitching also look twice the players since Grimes came in for the same reason. Such an important signing.

    Bassette myth

As with all/most of players, he needs a run of 10 - 15 starts before you can judge. See JDS as the most recent example. Although I do think that run might be best served elsewhere as he won’t get it here anytime soon. Ten minutes here and there isn’t doing his development any good.

    Player Ratings v Hull

MVE seems to have hit that week in week out level of excellence to show he is a class above. Although he needs to take the shot and put his laces through it rather than passing. Think he has edged Wright now as the next big money sale.

Also, that was one of the worst home crowds I can recall in 30 years of football. Not a fucking peep until 85 minutes.

Frustrating given the chances. In hindsight we should’ve shut up shop… although I was willing a second to make it comfortable. Didn’t fancy us to score going into the final moments with Simms and Wright taken off. Beat West Brom and it doesn't matter. Think we will get there but make it difficult.
