    SISU and the Oscars

"A foole and his money be soone at debate: which after with sorow repents him too late." T. Tusser 1573 in the "Five Hundred Points ........ would seem to apply to many in football In more modern language "a fool and his money are soon parted"

Council and Sky Blues in court tomorrow

I think the point is that the case is about the procedures undertaken by CCC regarding the loan to ACL. So not really to do with CCFC as such. Any contact was between SISU and CCC so SISU would already have title to their side of the documents. The costs. These must be mounting up. 8...

Council and Sky Blues in court tomorrow

Just a question but this case was brought by ARVO, SBS&L and CCFCH. CCFCH is now a shell dormant company to be wound up ........ how is it CCFC QC etc? The football club has not brought this action against CCC, neither CCFC nor Otium are listed as plaintiffs as far as I know

Question for OSB58 about CCFC accounts

I am assuming you mean the missing 2012 and 2013 accounts and the answer is almost certainly no Because CCFC Ltd and CCFC H are being liquidated there is no requirement to prepare and file accounts. The SBS&L Group accounts for 2012 and 2013 show the details to some degree but they do not...

Rate Our Season ON The Pitch

Its a 5/10 for me. The football up until Christmas was good, some real excitement but it masked the defensive frailties that were never properly addressed all season. Had Wilson & Clarke not clicked then we would have been in real trouble. Good to see some goals from the likes of Moussa too...

    Shameless Money Grabbing

Perfectly sensible thing to do in my opinion what club would turn it down? I don't see his problem with it. Surely any sensible business would seek to maximise all its income streams ..............:thinking about: I thought the Grace name on the kit was only supposed to have been for a month...

Council and Sky Blues in court tomorrow

I think that concern stretches to more things than football grounds to be honest. Will be interesting to see which way it all falls but from what I have read so far it is very far from clear cut....... certainly not as clear as SISU have made out. (CCC haven't commented so its hard to tell their...

Council and Sky Blues in court tomorrow

I think it is an area of law full of twists turns and interpretations. Certainly just skimming through the guides it is not at all clear cut on everything. I would assume that proper notification to the EU Commission has taken place because it is about the only thing that is clear cut. If state...

Council and Sky Blues in court tomorrow

This bit of the state aid guide is interesting (page 6 of the guide for state aid practitioners) Use of public funds in accordance with the private investor principle also known as Market Economy Investor Principle (MEIP) If the State is acting in a way that a private investor would in a...

Council and Sky Blues in court tomorrow

An independent inquiry - who is supposed to pay for it? It can not be any of the parties involved in the dispute because it would taint its independence. The government and football authorities have made it pretty plain in their comments (eg the reply to the petition) that they don't view it...

Council and Sky Blues in court tomorrow

so basically SISU think there are documents they are entitled to and CCC think they are not for disclosure. Both will have had legal advice saying they are correct I would think. Only way to settle it is under direction of a high court judge. Nothing really unusual or particularly significant in...

Court fees & solicitors question ????

It could be possible yes but is that guaranteed no. We just do not know where the costs will land. In theory CCFC/Otium are not part of the JR but SBS&L which owns Otium is. Also CCFC H is about to be struck off although if it were it couldn't be part of the JR. Doubt we will ever know for sure.

Court fees & solicitors question ????

The JR case has been brought by ARVO, SBS&L and CCFCH The reason the Charity case was held in the High Court (and therefore greater cost) was because of the size of the counter claim meant it had to be transferred there The Charity lost their claim because the clause upon which they relied...

    Coventry City Supporters Team

Unfortunately a 5 : 0 loss but that doesn't really tell the story against one of the top teams in the league. The match was played in the right spirit but no quarter given on either side. Both teams created some fine football. In the first half CCSFC matched WBA every step of the way...

    Coventry City Supporters Team

CCSFC take on WBA at Eccleshall tonight ko 7pm in the IFA Midlands Cup Final. (Post code ST21 6NE) It will be a tough game CCSFC have yet to beat what is a strong and more experienced WBA team but the lads are full of confidence and looking forward to it. What ever happens I am certain they...

trouble brewing - future football league sanctions?

Is the rate rebate still owing though or has it been paid out? The link was December 2013. The details of the rebate were included in all the administrators reports. The rebate was due to CCFC Ltd who I assume made the claim. The right to the funds from the rebate were purchased by Otium in...

Coventry City given Football League award for providing families with an ‘outstanding

no mischief Torch just questions Irrespective of it being at Sixfields I think I made it clear that such activities are essential. The kids are the future of CCFC and what ever can be done to get their attention should be done - the club should lead the way in that. It takes more time than...

trouble brewing - future football league sanctions?

That Football League deadline is ? so far we have people saying - at the end of the season ..... is that last weekend or after the playoffs - two weeks after the end of the season (see above) - 31st May 2014 - the end of the month - after CCFC Ltd liquidation process - after CCFC H...
