Sky Blues could change grounds during season

I spoke with them and they confirmed clubs could change grounds during the season - subject to the board's approval. They also pointed me towards the relevant rules which provide the necessary information. As per the article, it would have to be agreed by the League's board.

Sky Blues could change grounds during season

I tweeted earlier - ACL told me today their position remains the same. No talks until money owed paid to them and appeal dropped. I don't expect this to change until after August 7 when the Football League meets to decide on the issue of payment.

Sky Blues could change grounds during season

Contrary to some rumours doing the rounds: http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/football-league-confirms-sky-blues-7478148

    New statement

It was set up at the request of the FL is my understanding. I would imagine the club's owners would still have to authorise any payment from it though.

At the moment. But then there's still the issue of the appeal.

    New statement

ACL Chairman recently said the funds are out of the company's reach, which is their issue. They haven't been paid. They've been pretty clear on what they believe must happen in order for talks to begin. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New statement

I will ask them, but I can almost guarantee what they will say already. ACL's position is they will not talk until the issue of money owed is settled and the appeal against the judicial review judgment is dropped. I don't think a couple of press releases on the club's website is going to do a...

I wouldn't read any great conspiracy into it. Likely human error. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New statement

I didn't say it was the ideal stance. Simply underlining where we are in the process. Concessions needed on all sides I would imagine.

    New statement

Here's our report with a bit more background included: http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/coventry-city-owners-issue-new-7470493 Crucially: "The club previously confirmed it will not drop its legal action as requested by ACL - which means Sky Blues fans will potentially have to...

    CT's dad on Facebook

No talks as far as we know. ACL say money owed must be paid / appeal dropped first. That hasn't happened. August 7 might see Football League decide on the issue of money owed, so one hurdle would be potentially out of the way. Time will tell. The appeal can't go on indefinitely, but it might...

    CT's dad on Facebook

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - I would much rather a deal was done behind the scenes, away from the media, and we only found out once it was all agreed. I'd rather the club was back in Coventry than to be able to write "exclusive" on the odd article. There's a bigger picture here...

I wish I was left out. Unfortunately, there's no truth in these rumours I'm afraid. If that changes, we'll let you know.
