Do you want to discuss boring politics?

If you were on a plane during a storm who would you want as captain, Johnson or Starmer? If you were on a cruise ship on a lovely day who would you want as entertainment manager, Johnson or Starmer? Until enough people understand that the country is on the former not the latter our decline will...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The reasons given by participants for not trusting Labour are both illogical and disingenuous IMO. Illogical - - didn't like Corbyn = he's gone. - Labour are spenders, Tories cut = duh, have they not seen the money tories are spraying everywhere, much of it to their mates. Disingenuous - I'd...

    England Supporter’s Travel Club

The England team belongs to all of us not just the members. No comparison to loyalty cards. My nectar card doesnt entitle me to access Sainsbury's and take all its produce, it gives me small rewards only. Membership schemes have their place but they shouldn't amount to buying almost complete...

    England Supporter’s Travel Club

Yes but its also about availability and capacity. Why should a group of members buy up most of the capacity as a reward for loyalty? This practice leads to too much privilege - Lords cricket, golf and other sports clubs etc taking the lion's share of land and every other type of ownership. Time...

    England Supporter’s Travel Club

Should be reformed now. Major tournaments should not be a closed shop for members. Members should get about 20 percent of the total. And weed out the yobs, drunks and racists. The general public should be able to enter a lottery for about 70 per cent of the tickets. High time elite sport was...

    European championships 2020 thread

I lived in Wales for 4 years and only ever saw anti-English sentiment for rugby and tories. The majority of Welsh will be supporting England - just look at the cricket team how its welcome in Cardiff and a Welshman scored his maiden half century for England today. Let's not pretend we now the...

Sorry to tell you boys that pattern is too high for a bra. No woman has breasts above the line of her armpits unless she's had a very dodgy surgeon work on her. Ha

England win Euros or Sky Blues get promoted to Premier League?

England purely because my 10 year old self watched them knocked out by W. Germany in 1970 and I've waited long enough for glory. CCFC I've seen win at Wembley and promotion seasons. Finally I saw most of the years in the top division and it really doesn't bother me which division we play in as...

    How are new songs adopted?

But I still see that donkey kick goal Houchen heading the ball And when Huckerby scored And Snozzer dancing Phoenix on the shirt Jimmy Hill still scheming 20 years of hurt Never stopped me dreaming

This is the best home kit hummel has made for us. It's one of the best ever up with the classic 70s tramlines IMHO. Love it. Can't wait to get one without the sponsors name PUSB

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Can you imagine any other scenario in which it would be acceptable for our government to ease restrictions which save lives? Johnson admitted some people will die as a result. The arguments for all safety measures are now weakened - fire regulations, speed limits - use your common sense! I know...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

This isn't a binary choice. Could have retained certain measures a little longer, such as masks on public transport, table service only inside pubs. I support further unlocking but this is reckless and a repeat of mistakes made last summer, like Eat out to help out.

I've booked B as have a disabled family member. When you register be aware that it sent the verification email which was in my Spam folder (not a euphemism) for over an hour before I realised.

    Things that annoy you

My husband is just like that. Ask him for a time when he / we're doing anything he replies - When I've finished my coffee. An hour later he has a shower then reappears, rattles his keys (not a euphemism) and says Are you ready then? He then jumps in the car and drums his fingers on the steering...

    The big(ish) homecoming

Early August. Everyone I know would normally be on holiday. In a normal year about 20 percent of population would be on holiday. I have only rarely attended a first home match ever. This year might be different but lots of people who normally go away before schools break up will be going later.
