This. Even in his poorer seasons he seems to score against us and single handedly bully our defence, glad he's not playing tbh.

    Ref again

I get that offside is not subjective, football is however played by human not robots so I think a bit of flex in the system is needed. IMO if it takes more than 10 seconds to decide offside/onside the original decision should stand.

    Ref again

The rules have become so unwieldy and complex, it's no wonder they struggle sometimes. Some of the more baffling outcomes are from correct application of a poor rule. Offside in particular.

    Ref again

I could see this from block 18, the ref couldn't see it from 18 yards...

    Ref again

The shorter the ref the worse they are, I swear this is true. When I saw the jumped up little Hobbit warming up I said to my mate "this ref is going to be shite, the short ones always are". I think I remember us having him before, I seem to recall a red having a real hard on for having thrown...

    Sheaf and Grimes

I thought sheaf was generally quite good. Punch in his passes, looked to move the ball on quickly, got into some dangerous areas and helped us gain territory. Our midfield baffles me tho as it's often actually a one player unit as Grimes is sat between the CBs and Rudoni is so advanced. I said...

That fucking bell bloke. I know someone that went to one of their games, it may have been the FA cup final and had the misfortune of being next to him. Portsmouth is a shithole.

Probably the best thing for him tbh. That or a move to a progressive club like Brighton.

Match Thread Coventry City - Portsmouth FC Match Thread - Wednesday 9th Apr

Whatever midfield we play we need them to be more compact IMO. When we had the three in there against Sunderland they were a tight unit enabling them to pick up knock downs and second balls. In the last two the 10/8 has been playing as a second striker out of possession which makes us way...
