To be fair, I’m not sure how fit Kelly is, certainly not match fit, so you may be right.

Match Thread Stoke City - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 17th Feb

Yep, my concern too. A tough ask, and no doubt rotation (needed) again. Kelly into midfield to protect our defence? O’Hare will presumably be keen to prove a point - and to stick two fingers up to Robins for leaving him out!😁 0-1 would be a cracking result, and we owe them for last season’s...

    Clean sheets

I agree, his positional play in the past couple of games hasn’t been great, and has put us under pressure. Both Millwall and Plymouth looked dangerous down our right flank. Not just about MVE though (who is a good player, perhaps jaded) in the last two games, teams have broken through our...

    Unhappy Robins

Yep, perhap Yep, it’s perhaps more that our targets didn’t come off, the Argentinian winger, and the EMC deal being changed, rather than a lack of support from the owner.

    Something urgent needs to happen

If it was a joke, would have helped if it was funny? Didn’t offend me by the way, just thought it was daft.

    Fábio Tavares

To me, in your sentence ‘subject to starting lineup’ says it all. We have a tough game on Friday night against Preston, a couple of knocks, a bit of fatigue, we rest players, go one down to a fluke, go down to ten men (again😁)bottle it…. It’s happened before. After saying all that, I think we’ll...

Preston Game moved due to FAcup

Are we happy that we’re playing Friday/Monday? I know people will feel we should beat Maidstone with half a team, but Preston will be tough, and I don’t want to see MR resting loads of players because they’re ‘fatigued’…….

Is the incident viewable on line?

Bedwetters guide to Summer 2024 departures

I see these comments about Robins signing players who can deliver in the Premier League, and I’m not so sure. Of all the players we have now, it’s arguable that many of them have the quality to play successfully in the Premier League. I think Robins is choosing players to mount a serious...

    Reflections on the January Window

You make some fair points, and I would rather you were right than me, as I am a true City fan. In terms of teams below us who are a danger, the main one for me is the one we’re playing tomorrow, and a point will be an excellent result. I just feel that our squad may not have enough depth. I’m...

    Reflections on the January Window

I think that looking at the squad as it is now, we will do really well to achieve a play off place. Primarily because two of the four places look to have gone already, and there are a lot of teams who have strengthened in the window, chasing the last two places. Having said that, I didn’t think...

    FAC Quarter Finals

I suppose over our history, we only became a major club in the mid 60’s, contrasting with West Brom who had won the FA Cup 3 times by 1931, having won the league twice in 1920 and 21. Other clubs have similar heritages, the North West giants of the first half of the 20th Century come to mind...

    Transfer targets

But… 3 draws last season, so they didn’t beat us apart from pens. I think we would have beaten them had Hamer stayed on. Momentum was with us, and it swung as soon as Hamer went off.

    Sheffield Wednesday 20th Jan

Yeh, proper ground, who cares if it’s a bit tired. Loved it in ‘87, and looking forward to Saturday.

    Binks v Kitching

Agree with this, I think Binks is a good player, with, at age 22, plenty of potential. We should sign him at the end of the season. Would he be that expensive? Always assuming he won’t want to go somewhere where he is ‘guaranteed’ a starting place.

    Matty Godden

Yep, trolling Godden online is way out of order. When he got stick for missing that pen at Ipswich, those posters conveniently forgot the excellent goal he scored on the same ground in the last game before lockdown. We won 1-0 and that result helped to confirm our Championship that season...

    Ayari

Yep, agree. It was time for Robins to gamble on Wilson-Esbrand, but I think once Hamer was injured we went into defence mode, and Luton actually finished the game stronger. Anyhow, water under the bridge, but not correct to call him a poor signing.

    Ayari

I would have loved to have seen him come on during the play off final. He could run at people, and with Luton tiring, he could have helped get us over the line…
