Don't know if this has been posted, but, worth a look IMO.

    Death List 2024

My missus just told me Rik Mayall has passed away. She meant John Mayall of course. I only got to see him once, alongside Peter Green. Magical stuff. Rest easy John. You brought so much and so many to the blues. x

    Higgs and connexion

Used to play in the squash leagues at the Sky Blue Connexion before it was sold off (moved from Brandon Hall when it first opened). Most memorable moments were a chat with Danny Thomas in the bar 😉, and possibly (not so happily) almost losing an eye... It'd be good to get it back as far as I'm...

Thanks. Hayfield, I see. We were supposed to be near there this week in the camper. Unfortunately my dragon fell and broke her arm and damaged her shoulder ligaments last Friday, so that put the kybosh on it (Kudos to George Elliott though; we were ambulanced in and out again in two and a half...

    Coffee suggestions

Haven't been into Cov for years. I just can't get the smell of the Kongoni out of my mind though, all these years on. That place always smelt fantastic - and I walked past every weekday in the sixties.

I do wish they'd either fuck off or get on with it. Sigh.

    Coffee suggestions

Now I'm going to upset people. I realise it's probably an oxymoron or something to most coffee lovers, but I have a good medical reason to ask. Any recommendations for decent-tasting decaffeinated beans? Ducks for cover. Sorry...

Used to love a Camp when I was a kid. A real treat back then (talking fifties. Also old fecker). Probably not so much now ;) but still remember the scene on the bottle very fondly. Could never stick stera though.

    Summer transfer window 2024

Hamer linked with a move to Roma, allegedly. Are we due a kick-back on any transfer? https://sheffunitedway.co.uk/2024/07/10/sheffield-united-gustavo-hamer-roma/

    What's your dream car?

I don't give much of a shit these days tbh. My missus has a Kia Ceed Sportwagon, which is plenty quick, economical, roomy, comfortable for our daily use. I have a 2005 Toyota Alphard converted to a campervan (which replaced the big motorhome recently). It's cramped, thirsty, soggily suspended, a...

    What's your dream car?

Probably due to the diaphragm leaking in one or more of the five spheres. You end up with the suspension trying to spring on non-compressible fluid instead of air. Happened to me too on one of my BXs.

    What's your dream car?

Quite a few had the hydropneumatic setup - BX for one, but maybe you're thinking of the Xantia? Nice motor, particularly in Activa guise.

    What's your dream car?

A Traction Avant or a DS for me. I had a couple of BXs: one a non-turbo Estate. Dead slow, but took us to Germany and France four-up a couple of times, returning loaded to the gunwhales with wine. That suspension was astonishing. I also had a 1.7 turbo hatchback which was much quicker, but I...

    What's your dream car?

My first Mk1 (Sapphire Blue 1100, WKV14J) was my dad's second car, bought new from Swan Lane Garage in 1971. My first car, Ford Popular Deluxe, 4391RW was also his first car (he was the second owner, buying it from Swan Lane Garage in '62 when it was about a year old). Talk about keeping things...
