Labour group votes to approve £19.5m Ricoh sale to Wasps

Why do the directors of ACL have to approve the deal RobS. The vote is do the Council sell its shares in ACL and grant a new longer lease surely - that's not in the power of the ACL directors

    The JR

I think that although current events provide back ground the case has to be assessed and decided on what was known at the time the decision to make the loan was made

    Who owns Wasps??

The set up is as follows Moonstone Holdings Ltd (registered in Jersey I think but not certain I would also guess this is the company Richardson owns. there are similar named companies in Florida, New Zealand and Bahamas. The New Zealand one doesn't appear related the others I do not know)...

Labour group votes to approve £19.5m Ricoh sale to Wasps

To be honest I am going to go get some work done and come back to it when some proper details are released. All this speculation, guesswork, he said she said, leaks and mobile goalposts just confuses everyone and pisses me off. There are two stakeholders in ACL willing to sell. There is one...

Questions for Waggott and Fisher at the Trust open meeting

for the SMCP calculation they are not excluded but yes I think your point about the instalments is probably true Its only in the accounts under the Companies Act that player sales are not turnover. Different set of rules

Wasps deal is for 100% of ACL

Well that's pretty much full ownership with a 250 year lease. - how much is being paid for such a lease extension? - I would assume that in the event of failure then the lease reverts to the freeholder - CCC - It could allow Wasps to offer a long lease (eg 100yrs) to other tenants like CCFC -...

Questions for Waggott and Fisher at the Trust open meeting

If it is 2.7m then the starting turnover is 4.5m Was told by TF that we got £3.5m for Wilson, we have also got compensation for Christie say £500k they are both included in the calculation. So that means that since 01/06/14 the total qualifying turnover from all other sources (match day...

not being funny duffer but when was the last time CCFC showed real ambition to be a mid table Championship club? Our own crowds are nothing to shout about and I suspect fall well short of any breakeven for either the club or ACL

Putting my accountants head on the real problem I have with this is how can Wasps finance it. Turnover in 2013 6.1m and never more than 8.4m since 2002 2013 losses 3.3m 2012 2.9m 2011 2.0m 2010 3.1m...... it goes on they haven't made a profit in any year since and including 2002 2013 current...

    New stadium - Let's suppose for a minute ....

Only way that SISU come under pressure is if the new stadium is a complete fantasy........ otherwise they have a plan forward and a contract that keeps them safe for 4 years whilst the new stadium is built. Not sure where such a development site is in this City. As pointed out by Otis it isn't...

Yes that's the CEO of ACL. As it goes whilst it would be prudent to consult senior management and partners at the Ricoh the stakeholders do not have to.

Yes considering there are only five on the Board 2 from CCC 2 from the Charity and Mr Robinson So hardly likely the Board itself is against the proposal is it

For the same reason CCFC being there Wasps being there together with the big increase in business at the site plus the rail link makes the business case to develop new restaurants, new food outlets, new hotels a better proposition. If the case stacks up which it didn't before then developers...

I understand that NW. Just a few random thoughts - to be honest I cant make my mind up whether this sale is good or not. Financially it could be great, it could promote sport in the area, it could raise profiles or it could crash and burn. I really cannot decide which..... just not enough...

Surely you have to go with what Seppala has said ...... there is a plan forward, they will build own ground, they don't want any part of ACL, the club will develop its own income sources at the new ground etc. If that is the case then surely the reality is there is absolutely no threat to SISU's...

    sisu on the ropes

Yes they are in the sense that they must report at least annually and act as agents within the contract originally agreed. But what if CCFC is only a very small part of a much bigger pot? what if Sconset (controlled by SISU) has bought out the original investors for a fraction of their original...

    Protest Tuesday

awful lot of misinformation bouncing around it seems. To me its a battle of hearts and minds. Heart says franchise team dropping in is wrong, head says that doesn't mean it has to make things worse for CCFC we know - The freehold is not for sale - an interest in ACL is for sale - Joy Seppala...

    sisu on the ropes

where to begin ........ - whose word , what source, what evidence? - the JR appeal is on going so that course of action is not over - as agent for the investors SISU have full power of management to invest or not invest as SISU choose - the CCFC investment forms a small part of a much bigger...

Wasps bid for Ricoh Arena valued at £30million

I agree opinions differ but there are options that could work for CCFC at the Ricoh long term and work for Wasps Not saying wasps give away income streams - they would negotiate the rights for a price - that could be a one off up front payment, an increase in rent, leased or an amended profit...
