    F1 2024

Result was predictable and I'll be honest I'm so disinterested this year I hadn't even realized it was a Saturday race. Only thing that might disrupt Red Bull to some extent is the off-track issues. Posted on here a while back that Jos Verstappen isn't a popular or positive influence around the...

Wasps go to bottom of the pyramid

Shouldn't forget the complicity of certain influential council members/employees who were willing accessories due to their enmity towards our former owners - or that they let that overide any concern for the football team or its supporters (or indeed CRFC's future)

Wasps go to bottom of the pyramid

Hanging on hoping the RFU etc can force through changes to Championship that lets the likes of Wasps & London Irish jump the queue all the way upto the 2nd Tier.

That and not capitalising after Ashwin wicket in 1st innings. They should have been bowled out around the 200 mark and that extra lead could have been decisive.

    Cricket 2024

Probably 2 of the worst days Test cricket I've seen us play in years. From what should have been a useful platform of 200 odd for 2 lost 18 wickets for around 200 runs whilst giving up 400 runs for just 4 wickets.

What's impressive from Duckett is that he's absolutely capitalised on scoring opportunities whilst not really going unnecessarily Bazball crazy against good balls. Resulted in 88 ball run century inc 19 4s & a 6.

    Squad turnover

Modern football - high player turnover the norm. COVID actually "stunted" the norm due to the lack of cash in the system for the first normal season after lockdown. Long-serving players (more than 5 years) seem a rarity at any club

Seen everyone since 1987. They do know how to put on a spectacle. FA cup comparison is a sad one. Clubs have devalued it and TV lost interest. Used to be an all day show on the TV when I was a kid. It was a massive day particularly as there was so little other live football on the telly.

Just seen this. Add in the streams and it's 123 m up from 115m. Playoffs were up 10% as well. Printing money. Superbowl tickets averaging around 8000usd.

Once Chiefs got to grips with McCaffrey running game thought 49ers would struggle to put enough points on the board. Kinda of reminded me of the Pats-Rams Superbowl. Once Pats took away the run Goff wasn't quite good enough to lead the offense. An okay qb (then) in a really strong team not able...

112 million last year, estimated 115m this. Part Swift, part 49ers having a much bigger fanbase than the Eagles.

That 49ers defense is really good. Kelce was nullified for 3 quarters having to act as a blocker (rather than receiver) against the strong pass rush. Plus Rice aside Chiefs really didn't have good receivers this season for Mahomes to work with - his passing TDs to wide receivers well down this...

thought Chris Jones and Bolton were exceptional - particularly against the run. Probably MCCaffrey's lowest yards per carry of the season except maybe against the Cowboys defense. Thought the corners - McDuffie, Sneed & Conner did an exceptional job in coverage especially on Samuel. Purdy's...

Halftime show worst part of the Superbowl. Takes way too long. Must be tough for the players having that long a break mid game.

N NFL already posted a Swift Superbowl highlights video. Seemed like even before they panned to the coaches winning reaction they'd gone to hers within seconds of the TD being scored. It's ridiculous.

Pats type win. Outstanding defensive performance and your elite QB gets the job done somehow. Both defenses were outstanding - DC play calling from both sides were masterclasses. What looked dull for 3 quarters was actually the result of incredible defense. Key stat was probably the 3rd down...

Key issue in both Tests has been that one batsman has made a large decisive score. Take away Pope's knock and it's an India win in the first Test, remove Jaiswal's double hundred and it's an England victory this time.

    Football authorities are watching you

For an LGBQT official to take offense (moral high ground) whilst taking a pay cheque from the Saudis just seems beyond absurd
