    New hotel at Ricoh

That may be. They still sit as either O&O or Franchised. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk

    New hotel at Ricoh

Well, I've worked for Hilton for 10 years, on property and above property...the last 5 years out of out EMEA HQ and have sold all brands to some of the largest companies in the UK as well as some of the world's largest sporting organisations. We're well drilled not to call brands like Hamptons...

    New hotel at Ricoh

And your last point is correct. But Hilton have never owned all their hotels. It's just the % of O&O vs Franchised had decreased over the years. That's not unique to Hilton but rather symptomatic of the whole hotel industry. Same for Marriott, IHG, Accor etc. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk

    New hotel at Ricoh

Your Hilton contact shouldn't be calling it budget, that's incorrect (as per my post above). Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk

    New hotel at Ricoh

Just to clarify...hotels can either be owned/operated or franchised. As an example...Hilton Wembley (owned/operated), Hilton Belfast (franchised). Same with DoubleTrees, Hamptons, Hilton Garden Inns etc. To the customer, there should be no difference if you walk into an O&O compared to a...

    New hotel at Ricoh

Mid-tier as opposed to budget. Hamptons are good products. And they can be owned/operated as opposed to franchised as well. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk

Shmmeee, my original post was in response to olderskyblue who said look at where we were when Sisu took over and where we are now. We were on a downward trajectory when they took over. They're therefore not 100% responsible for us being lower now than when they took over. As mentioned earlier...

    Transfer Rumour Aaron Evans-Harriott signs

Looks like he's been picked up from the park on a Friday night after downing a litre of cider. Anyway, welcome young man and good luck.

You've just contradicted yourself in one post - 'ITV digital collapse didn't have an effect, you sure about that?' and then 'Where we are now is all them'. Well, you've just said it's not. Don't be stupid and hark back to the JH days...but to say that our predicament, the last 10 years and our...

C'mon Shmmeee, that's a stupid thing to say. Of course not as they didn't directly have any impact on our position now. Richardson overspending and the advent of the whole Ricoh project clearly has had an impact on our current situation. Again, you're better than that....

I agree with your sentiment but Sisu are not the only ones responsible for the whole 'where were we when they bought us/where are we now' argument. There's quite clearly a few parties who contributed to our freefall down the leagues, starting with the likes of Bryan Richardson, Mike McGinnity...

Kind of disagree (respectfully). I know for a fact that there's stuff that's been unreported in the press as far as the UK goes. That said, I think there's massive hyperbole on this. Whilst it's stronger than 'normal flu', symptons are similar and 500,000 people die annually from flu.

Yeah, I only found out about the re-infections yesterday. I guess no different to a normal cold or flu though. I'm sure if I've had both before, shaken them off and then got them not long after :-(

Yeah agreed mate and I knew you weren't arguing :-) I think it will defo affect a lot of companies in a lot of industries. I know that my company has shut 150 hotels in China for the time being. That will have an impact no doubt, even with insurance policies in place. I think the whole thing...

I can only speak from personal experience. I deal with F1 teams and Formula E teams who have had to cancel contracts due to the postponements of the F1 and FE races in China. They'll be covered with FM clauses in contracts. The hotel industry will take a hit in lost revenue but will have...
