Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

As I’ve just replied to Calista, I posted that before catching up on the thread and reading Gilber’s update. Tho I still think our overall prospects are better now Wasps are gone than at any point when they were here..

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

TBF mate, I posted that before catching up on the thread and reading Gilbert’s update:rolleyes: having said that, something had to give at some point.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Possibly in the short term, but although I don’t fully understand all the workings and potential scenarios of the impending administration etc, in my mind (and I might be miles out here ) our clubs future prospects look rosier today than any day I can remember for a very long time. We had no...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

With the est costs of needed repairs being reported, it sounds like it’s about to collapse now.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

TBF Nick, that was at the height of a very dirty war, Things ‘at least on the surface’ do appear to be a lot more straightforward now, wouldn’t you agree with that.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

But their stock will rise or fall on the decisions they make, if SISU present a plan that safeguards the arena’s future, gives CCFC a permanent home and the opportunity to grow and prosper and at the same time gives the Council a satisfactory resolution to what has been a long painful process...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

A lot of them will have changed tho Nick, not only that, but I don’t think a group of Councillors would harbour the same level of loyalties, as compared to say ‘a company board.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

This is true but Wasps for all ‘intents and purpose’ are now history, out of sight out of mind. Councils by there very nature/structure tend to be a very transient operation, relations between SISU and key members of CCC were clearly toxic and had probably reached a point of no return, but in...

    Coventry Real Ale Pubs

Reading this thread, really brings home just how sadly lacking central Coventry is when it comes to it’s hospitality & leisure offer. For a city of it’s size it’s unbelievable really.

Match Thread Tuesday v Rotherham Match Thread

I find it very difficult to believe that any bookie wouldn’t factor in current form, when formulating the odds offered on both teams, in fact, wouldn’t current form be the best indicator of a teams likely performance. unless I’ve misunderstood what you’re saying.

American billionaire John McEvoy considers bid for club

Why on earth would any business man ‘worth his salt’ be looking to rescue Wasps (or any other rugby club ‘for that matter) from the brink of financial oblivion, the numbers simply don’t stack up. The public interest in the sport simply isn’t there, it then follows that the money within the game...

    Atmosphere

Thought Id add, I run a pub 30 miles from Norwich and since we played there 5 weeks ago, I’ve lost count of the amount of their fans praising our support, they reckon it was unbelievable and the best away supporters they’ve seen there in years, not joking, it’s literally everyone of them I’ve...

    Has London Bridge fallen ?

Well with anecdotes like the cheesy queen one I posted above, who wouldn’t pay good money to listen to after dinner gold like that. As for Major laughing at Boris, could be because he’d just caught him checking ”whatever” on his phone, tho why anyone would need a particular reason to laugh at...

    Has London Bridge fallen ?

It‘s not that she’s upped her game, it’s more, that her teammates don’t even know the rules.
