    Retained List

It can't be cheap to run an U21s side, would be interested to find out how much of an overhead it actually is for us. When you include wages of players and staff, as well as the cost of food, drink, travel to games, treatment, equipment and any other extras that inevitably the average fan...

    Viktor Moving on

There's no real benefit for Gyokeres to actually stay at Sporting. Wage wise alone he will be able to earn probably 4x his current salary at least moving to a PL team. Sporting don't pay big wages and really their ceiling in terms of competing in the CL has probably already been hit.

He was unpopular for pretty much his entire time there. Not really surprising though given the amount of blunders he's made. Don't really understand how he's actually managed to have a career in football for so long tbh.

Huh? Haven't quite a lot of posters identified a RW as a priority to directly compete with Sakamoto? Most will recognise that his output was lacking last season and it's an area to address. EMC I'm less worried about as when he's fit and injury free we've seen the kind of contribution he can...

We do actually try to do this. The issue we have is, our build up play is far too slow at times as we don't really have a player that is capable of moving the ball on quickly and with Simms being physically incapable of retaining the ball in any capacity or bring others into play it forces us...

Surprising if true. I would've thought he'd be on something in between of high teens to around 20 pw.

Sadly I very much doubt that will be the case. As much as he needs to leave moving Simms on will probably be easier said than done due to wages.

Simms last season genuinely played like he'd never seen a football before and looks so out of his depth in the current setup it's lunacy to keep him on for another season. His form isn't going to magically improve when it's quite obvious he can't do what's being asked of him.

Salech is a good shout. Someone who should in theory looks like he'd fit into the current system nicely and suit how Lampard's trying to get our forwards to play.

At least one striker will have to leave in the summer. We're too top heavy in that area of the squad and budget would be better utilised if reallocated elsewhere.

At 24 I wouldn't really say he's that young. He should be putting in consistent performances by now.

On the contrary I can see the club trying to move a fair amount of players on this summer to be honest. As I've said in other threads this isn't Lampard's team, it's Robins'. This window offers FL an opportunity to mould it to more his liking and how he wants it to play by bringing in the...

I don't really get the clamour for Sargent. As talented as he is, he's very injury prone and his ankle issues are a bit of a concern. Not someone even if we had the money I'd slap a big fee down for personally.

I don't see Simms being here at the end of the summer given FL essentially froze him out of the two PO games and his regression this season has been pretty clear for all to see so it's probably time he moved on and sought other opportunities elsewhere. BTA I just can't really fathom why he was...

I have to agree. It's not at all productive or realistic for the club to do swap out its entire strike force. We need some element of continuity going into the new season and getting rid of all three strikers will probably end up doing more harm than good. Also, they need to have takers first...

    Leicester At It Yet Again!

This time in the Championship is incomparable to the last time for Leicester. Their financial figures for that season were pretty good in comparison to others. 'Only' a £19m loss due to parachute payments, accruing £100m in transfer fees and not really having much in terms of instalments...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Forest will likely want him moved on permanently if they can help it. Swansea were paying the majority of his contract, so shouldn't be too much trouble for a team coming down from the PL

O'Brien's wages would pose a problem. I'd imagine he'll be bought by one of the teams coming down.

Johnston can look pretty on the ball at times and can commit defenders but his end product is appalling.

It's also worth noting that King Power as a business is struggling and is a shadow of what it was under the current owner's father pre-pandemic.
