That was all a bit too haphazard to claim its the big turnaround but sometimes you have to have a bit of a bumpy ride , before you start getting into gear again. However It looked to me like the more blood and thunder it was yesterday, the more likely we were to come out on top. So lets dispense...
Definitely more effective when playing closer together and indeed many famous striking partnerships have worked that way. I’m a big fan of Wright but still to be convinced by Simms. I want to see him hungry and aggressive every game, not 1 in 5 ! Yesterday was hopefully the beginnings of that 🤞
Saka is a good little player but all too often the oppositions bully boys target him and he’s left on the floor. I’ve noticed as well that when he loses the ball his tenacious nature leads him to commit a lot of fouls trying to win it back.
Delighted with the win, was convinced we would lose this one. Really scrappy , dirty, mistake filled stuff but it reminded me a bit of football in the old days with a lot of long balls and physical tussles. We benefited hugely from Luton being dead on their feet in that second half. Some comical...
People won’t like this but Sakamoto has been a liability , gave away the penalty and then played everyone onside by not getting up the field quick enough for their second. He’s so often not physical enough for this league with the standard of Refs not able to protect. Spends a lot of time...
MR Clutching at straws I reckon, hoping to scrape a draw.
Simms will be lumbering around trying to hide amongst their defenders, Saka will be booted early doors and crocked and Wright won’t see the point of tracking back at all with 7 defenders behind him.
Lets hope Dovin isn’t going to be...
Ooh lets punish the general public of the UK 250 years or so after slavery was abolished. …..The great majority never actually benefited either, in fact for many years later ordinary Brits were nothing much more than slaves to the wealthy classes.
And to whom should these reparations be made ...
Dovin doesn't look anything special at all . I was hoping for better like EMC , he’s not a great upgrade on what we have. He is another bought on advice that our Chairman thought would prove to be a money spinner in a year or two.
I’ve heard that they played really well against Sunderland but didn’t finish their many chances. I fear the worst, its a shitty early kick off and we can’t seem to perform in these, Luton are physically stronger all round, our players are lacking confidence…..and worse of all I suspect the City...
Its all a mystery to me, I thought he was dreadful to start with last season but then things clicked and Wright benefited too, now he’s gone back to looking like a clumsy pub player. Its a confidence thing I’m sure but we can’t carry passengers
I agree but as he has admitted himself,King knows little about football, he’s a financial guru and perhaps thinks if they are all getting a chance in the shop window, they will be noticed. At the moment they will be but for all the wrong reasons.
