    Bertie Hound vs Simms

Think he keeps the shirt on Saturday with that performance, depending how fit he is

    Game management

yea really easy to see out a game when you've worked your nuts off for 80 minutes against one of the best teams in the country and then they bring on Kulusevski/Maddison/Son

    Ephron Mason-Clark

Cov fans man 🤦‍♂️ the blokes played less than 4 games, after stepping up a league, and some of those minutes was against a prem team, almost all of those minutes he's been out of position He could've had about 3/4 goals already, but because he hasnt, "he hasnt got it" and isnt going to be...

Match Thread Coventry City - Tottenham Hotspur [LC] Match Thread - Wednesday 18th Sep

I'm at the stage where im not afraid of anyone in our league, nor am I of Spurs (maybe naively in that case), it all just depends what CCFC turn up... midfield is going to be the weakness, other than that confident we will give them a game. Going with a 2.1 loss but a decent performance

    Summer transfer window 2024

yea we'd never sell our best CM late in the window and not replace them ...

    Summer transfer window 2024

for everyone that'll be pissed off if we don't sign another CM... I'd adjust your wishes and start hoping we keep hold of the one(s) we've got!

    Palmer leaving

Palmer been another one who's a good servant but we've outgrown him If/when we sign another CM, there's every chance KP doesn't even make the bench when all are fit Good for both to move on

Loans: What are we getting wrong ?

We're in the middle ground of having a first team squad that is too strong for youth players to work their way into... and equally, we havent got the luxury of having a youth team full of prospects who L1 and L2 teams are dying to get hold of.

    league cup draw

It'll be Watford probably, so we play them twice in a week as well 🤦‍♂️

Match Thread Coventry City - Oxford Utd - Match Thread - Friday 16th Aug 8pm KO

i think this is the point - they've won one game and are confident, they're favourites to get relegated. Not one of their players gets near our starting 11, even with the "issues" we think we have. Anything but a win is disappointing... not saying it cant happen, but it shouldn't

After 25 years away, we'd easily take 5k to an away game on a Friday night tbf

    Away kit

Think it's pretty fair to expect your football teams range of kits to be out before the season starts... 3rd kit maybe being the exception... disappointing it's not but it's hardly one to lose sleep over or comment on twatter every day!

Match Thread Coventry City - Oxford Utd - Match Thread - Friday 16th Aug 8pm KO

i thought we'd lose to Stoke, but confident we'll win tomorrow. Can see a bit of a fortress Ricoh style thing happening again this season. people talking about "form" and previous results are mental, we've played one league game and a mickey mouse cup game where loads make changes. them winning...

Match Thread Bristol City FC - Coventry City [LC] Match Thread - Tuesday 13th Aug

I've said we should play our strongest XI and try and win (y) We beat Oxford 6.2 last season, yes they won last weekend, doesn't change the fact they will do well to stay up

Match Thread Bristol City FC - Coventry City [LC] Match Thread - Tuesday 13th Aug

i get the result will largely be irrelevant but from the weekend it looked like we'd never played football together, so treat it like a friendly and play our strongest XI, a win (and goals) for some confidence to kick start the season would be nice In reality, Oxford should be one of our easier...
