    Council funding for Ricoh Refurb

That is the concerning bit, right?! It does seem a lot of money for what they want to do. Who will that money go to...ACL I assume? Or will it go into Wasps bank account and they then use it to get the work done. It would be interesting to see once it's all done, how much the work actually...

Haskell / ACL / Trust / CCFC Administration

Got ya both, thanks for clarifying. Shocking really. Genuinely, I really wish that a wider portion of our fan base understood this. I think it would make a massive difference in public opinion as well as put more pressure on Wasps, CCC and the Trust.

    Council funding for Ricoh Refurb

Yeah, get that, but from what I can see from the planning and what I know of what they owe/their debt, it's not going to make a massive difference. If the Ricoh was a stadium only (like St Marys) and they were bolting on the exhibition hall, casino and adding a hotel, that would be different...

Haskell / ACL / Trust / CCFC Administration

Sorry, I've just re-read your post. So you're saying that whilst Wasps were in discussions with DB to get us back, ACL and the Trust were in cahoots with Hoffman and the council (and likely Wasps), about forcing CCFC into administration which might have brought on liquidation, thus resulting in...

For those of us who haven't had the total understanding of every single detail Nick or who can't keep up with all the names in our sorry saga, what are you in saying in simple terms?

    City 25/1

25/1...jesus...that's the type of optimism I used to have many, many years ago. I'm surprised our odds aren't in treble figures to be honest. The bookies are rarely wrong though. Encouraging I guess that we're fancied. About time that respect and Coventry City FC were put together.

    Council funding for Ricoh Refurb

To be fair, any 'refurb' or updating of facilities will cost money so the 'good' news for us is that although they're getting nigh on £5m, nigh on £5m won't cover their losses nor will it put a dent in the bond repayments they have to make.

Wouldn't read too much into that...Arsenal made 55 redundancies today. Sign of the times (Covid) as opposed to a reflection of their finances. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk

Thankfully we're in the same division as those clubs now which could help us keep him. If it were a Prem team however...

You won't have to pay for it Dave. Wasps are rolling in it now with this grant! (tongue firmly in cheek...)

    Richard Overson

Yeah, I kind of agree actually. Just all seems a bit strange, this seemingly non-binding relationship. Is he a genuine philanthropist simply willing to help out where he can, especially financially? I'm not saying he's not or casting any aspersions on his personality. It's great that we've got...

    Transfer Rumour Jack Butland

I reckon this will be a bit like Joe Cole. We'll get him when he's 38 or something. Heard it here first.

Fans back in grounds in September

Admittedly a L1 club at the lower end of the attendance scale. Not sure if that means they should be more reliant on ticket revenue or not though...economies of scale and all that! Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk

Like I said on another thread, matchday revenue only accounted for 15% of one L1 clubs finances, whom I was speaking to. That was from their Chairman. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk

Bob Latchford was probably one. Sure it was him who did that and got a badge and ironed it on.
