Match Thread Coventry City - Millwall FC Match Thread - Sunday 29th Dec

Looks like another bumper crowd, that will be two in a row against the mighty Plymouth and Millwall. We are not exactly firing either. Imagine a sizzling City team in the Prem….we would need a bigger stadium 🤷‍♂️

Match Thread Coventry City - Millwall FC Match Thread - Sunday 29th Dec

Didn’t think I would be saying this a few weeks ago but EMC would be quite a miss if injured, especially with Haji out. Means we would have to go more direct through the middle to Norm and Simms. Have Millwall got their ( missing from the last game) centre backs fit now ?

Why so many empty seats ?

Really sorry to hear that. Hope they recover soon. On that note the amount of respiratory type illness around right now would account for many absentees yesterday. My wife and I were battling on and so many people were blowing noses and coughing .

Match Thread Coventry City - Plymouth Argyle Match Thread - Thursday 26th Dec

I would continue with Norm right now. I’d rather have him working his socks off and making the opposition defenders work than Simms who regularly hides. Haji will obviously have to be slotted in when fit though as he is our best striker.

You know what I meant , the advantage meant we could start to look better on the ball and get the goals back we needed.

These listed ‘ we were entertaining’ games often included a sending off for the opposition, giving us an advantage 🤔

Collins must start in goal on Boxing day!

Our defence is appalling all round, Collins is just part of the problem. We don’t actually have a decent centre back, so much backing off and ball watching every game. I don’t know what we do to goalkeepers though, we’ve had so many come and look promising and somehow after a few months they...

    Cov Rugby 2024 - 2025

The revenue gap is huge between the Championship and the Prem it’s as bad as the football situation, if not worse. Forgive me if I’m wrong but bankrolled Ealing seemed to almost have two full decent squad’s against us on Saturday , they were bringing so many subs on. This is a team that averages...

    Brad Collins

Have stuck up for Collins recently but today he was absolutely awful for this level of football. He won’t play on Boxing Day . The defence as a whole were poor though. When he did parry that one out, no defenders were covering, just stood and watched.

    Plymouth Boxing Day

The atmosphere is almost always loads better when we achieve an unexpected result/ performance against a club with a stack of fans in the away end. The ground will be populated by irregulars to some extent, a smaller away contingent and a fatal expectation that we will bulldoze these...

Ticket prices v Plymouth boxing day

£37 for adults plus kids prices. I noticed that their official coaches are called ‘ Miles away travel’ ( You’re not kidding) . They want £53 for the bus up. It makes for a few quid if a chap wants to bring a couple of kids. Probably around £200. Plus F&B . Argyle are struggling and it’s Boxing...

    Hull away support

Can’t have been very lifting for their players when they started singing ‘ How shit must you be, we’re winning away’🤔

    Grow Up

Not sure I really need to see it. Strange behaviour and sense of humour from someone . It’s a shame we couldn’t get some money for Callum but we got him for nowt. Not sure it merits all the hatred…..

Yes , those same morons who have one of the best transport infrastructures in the world to cart them around London.

    Cov Rugby 2024 - 2025

Well you were bang on. I think Cov were missing a few players and the Cornish gained a few. Hardly huge support though at 1555 for ‘ Cornwalls premium Sports team’ as they like to market themselves. Is someone bankrolling them ?

    Ephron Mason-Clark

EMC improving thankfully but nowhere near Haji when he’s fit.

    The new signings so far

Delighted with a win. We had to beat negative Hull and a proper twerp of a Ref. It wasn’t always pretty and we made hard work of it but we were always the better team 👍

    The good old days.....

The love and passion is dwindling away. It used to govern my calendar, still does a little but it’s wearing thin. 7.30am alarm tomorrow to get a bus into CV1 ….wankers !
