    State Aid...

Think the SISU tactic is more basic than that..... I think they will keep going until they get some sort of settlement to go away I also think there is a difference between a legal opinion and an everyday one. The facts of the case or the timeline it covers is not going to change. In arriving...

    State Aid...

certainly not a straight forward area of law When the CCC said that they couldn't own it were they being asked to sell 50% to CCFC or were they being to give it to CCFC? One would be state aid the other not. The club could not afford to buy it could they? I know people will say CCFC paid out...

    Next SCG meeting

from memory the club hasn't had a consumer credit licence for a number of years. I think that they used to make arrangements with a finance house and use theirs(Zebra was one I seem to remember) to get payments over a number of months. I would guess given the financial turmoil at the club...

    State Aid...

What the Judge said in his statement...... “Whilst I accept that the council were put to some hard decision-making over this commercial enterprise in 2012, in all of the circumstances and given the wide margin properly allowed in such matters, I simply cannot say that the loan extended by the...

    State Aid...

What has happened since with Wasps will not affect the first JR case appeal application. The Judge will only consider what was known at the time the deal was done January/February 2013. The second JR case is based on the Wasps deal but if the loan was at commercial rates ie 11% over 20 years...

    State Aid...

Doesn't the signing off only come in to play as far as SISU vs CCC is concerned if the transaction was deemed to be state aid though? The Judge was specific in saying the transaction was not state aid at all and therefore no signing off by the EU was relevant. The case never got as far as...

    PR battles

What should puzzle everyone whether they believe the City must own its stadium or whether they believe a deal at the Ricoh can be done is why right now the club appears incapable of maximising the income streams it does have, or developing new ones. The marketing strategy appears hap hazard...

    PR battles

It would of course be interesting and potentially reassuring to get a proper and substantiated response to all this from CCFC/SISU........... not something I am really expecting to be honest. Just leaves the CCFC fans feeling frustrated, annoyed, let down, worn down and pessimistic as another...

    PR battles

Then again you have to have believed in assurances against bad news in the first place Always thought that they would want to play Saturdays it is the traditional day for sport, but even then it is going to be governed by TV coverage isn't it so it wont be every Saturday. CCFC still have first...

    PR battles

Isnt at least part of the truth that Wasps control their PR and CCFC no longer do (it can even come across at times as no longer care). That is not a good situation what ever business you are in but especially one that was so prominent with the local public. What ever you may think of bias of...

    PR battles

so how do CCFC counter that, given that they have contributed greatly to the air of mistrust that surrounds the club, directors and owners ? We should be looking at positive solutions for the club ....... what comes across time again is that it is easier to hide behind someone else's fault...

    PR battles

Here's a novelty for you. Answer my two questions clearly and properly and I will explain how it works. I think we would all agree that is fair

    PR battles

in any case the point of the thread was to highlight how CCFC and Wasps handled/targeted/controlled their PR, how each was different and some of the possible effects.

    PR battles

two questions. How do you know and evidence? Just a thought but the 14m is an ACL liability that was being met prior to Wasps landing or CCFC returning. Since then ACL/Compass/IEC income has increased we are told certainly by the extra trade from sporting events (Wasps/CCFC) but apparently...

    PR battles

"Blatant PR" To be fair torch with the SISU/CCFC record for PR and marketing gaffs it isn't hard to accomplish :thinking about: also perhaps the balance of what sells papers is changing ...... it used to be CCFC sold copy ........

    PR battles

Just a few thoughts on the PR stuff that has been going on I think it is pretty clear that the PR stakes have been raised recently by the daily articles concerning Wasps this week. There is a definite contrast to what is coming out of CCFC and that is partly the point I suspect. You could argue...

The SISU response to the Guardian & Overseas company ownership of clubs.

How big a club are we?

I guessed (largely because of how you put the question) that it would be quite low possibly between 50 and 60. What is interesting is the names of the clubs still in the FL that are below us ...... the "bigger" names are Ipswich, Wigan, Scunthorpe, Doncaster, Peterborough but that's about it...

    Those hoping for WASPs demise

http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/wasps-rfc-early-loan-repayment-9040895 Not sure what they plan does say business is booming, depends on the starting position really doesn't it? I think it says they are confident enough to seek better sources of finance but until we know...
