Agreed. If we think about Sheaf, Grimes, Saka, Wright and EMC all starting in our best team - we're going to be competitive in the run-in. 4-2-3-1 with Sheaf and Grimes as the defensive midfield 2 adding control that we didn't last night have as an underpowered midfield 3. We go again.

Just wanted to mention that the usual hystericals have gone strangely quiet. 4 weeks ago the dialogue was all about relegation and the club completely throwing away money on recruitment wasn’t it? They’ll be back after a couple of narrow defeats but it’s nice to escape their nonsense for a time.

For those with longer memories - we had a Grimes in midfield before and that still gives me nightmares. Not comparing the 2 in any way!

I kind of hear you Deity. In terms of hard evidence though, very few coaches have taken a club in free fall from L2 to within a penalty shoot out of the Premier League - with the added on drawbacks of dysfunctional ownership, not having a home and on a budget that was far from spectacular...

100% right Becksy. Some of here have very short memories of how far we have progressed over the last 7 years. I now avoid this site after a loss as the usual Clowns (most who honestly have never even played for a pub team) kick off and do what they do best - abuse targeted players and the team.
