Yep don’t get it either. Didn’t like the fact that he wasn’t arsed when he came back on Loan from Norwich, but he has certainly improved and proved me wrong by doing the business at the top level.
Burge 6 Wasn’t tested a lot so can’t really get a higher mark.
Willis 6 Solid enough.
Davies 6 Again nothing spectacular but ok.
Hyam 6 At least tried to get us moving forward before he went off.
Sterling 7 Thought he was one of our better players and carried on from Saturday with another...
Yes. Some were thinking we could go straight through this league aswell. Unfortunately though, the momentum has hit the buffers as the more “realistic” of us knew it would and we would be mid-table at best which would still constitute progression.
Na, keep him in even if just for his leadership qualities. How many times has he dragged us over the line when we were under the cosh towards the end of the game?
People will forgive lack of ability I guess if they see maximum effort and to be fair to Shipley he does this which nobody can really question. Compare this to “some of our own” amongst that abysmal team that went down to L2 without even a whimper who didn’t really try at all whilst in the Sky...
As above he gives the team a better balance when he’s in and covers a great amount of ground and his defensive game helps us. I think though that this may be papering over the cracks and he may be punching above his weight. Still has time on his side though to improve but if you look at Bayliss...
Yep, I noticed a few of the old guard were out and about today. But yes, keep it amongst yourselves and not when innocent people with their families/children get caught up in it.
Burge 8 Couple of important saves at crucial times. What was more impressive was he could have easily spilt one of them but held on firmly.
Sterling 7 Adapted well at left back and had a hand in the goal with good persistence. A great step forward from last week.
Brown 5 Not on long enough...
