    Jim Holton opted for the number one former footballers choice of job in becoming a publican. Made a good go of it too. Alan Brazil did the same - A load of us went to his pub after an Ipswich away game mid '90's and he had the good grace to spend a bit of time with us.

    I have nothing against Carsley, in fact he was one of very few who I genuinely warmed to as a possible replacement for MR. It would just appear that the leap from a junior level of international football management to the senior level is one that the powers that be consider to be a bridge too...
