    O'Hare bids

What...show faith in managers? I don't know...why don't you ask all other league club chairman their opinion? I'm only bothered by our club. And it's obviously not a nonsense argument but I wouldn't expect anything different in a response from you to one of my posts. Again, obviously, it can...

    O'Hare bids

As hard as it is, it's not impossible. Does money always win? Most times, but not always. My posts aren't a defence of the 'boardroom'. They're a show in faith in the management team who normally have things covered. Will they get it right...maybe, maybe not. I'm happy to sit on the side of...

I assume you didn't see the words 'Harder to replace then a McNulty/Walsh -yes' ? I didn't say it was the same you spanner and agree that it would be harder.

    O'Hare bids

Again, it is relevant. Harder to replace than a McNulty/Walsh - yes. Impossible to find a decent replacement and progress - no.

Past Transfer Targets , Where are they now?

I think you'll find he was awarded an MBE, received 14 Brit award nominations, 2 grammy nominations and penned some internationally recognisable tunes such as Re-Rewind, Fill Me In, Walking Away and 7 Days.

I mean, there's some truth in what you say but I don't think it's always the case that it's harder the more you go up the pyramid. MR isn't stupid - he'll know that when your crown jewels play well and put themselves in the window, you need to plan for what's likely going to be an inevitable...

I should also add that the above isn't guaranteed to happen everytime and maybe if we do lose CoH, we do go backwards. The most recent history has told us to trust MR and his team to get it right, when we lose such a key player.

    O'Hare bids

Of course it's relevant. When we've lost/not kept the likes of Walsh or McNulty, we've not gone backwards. We've managed to bring in players to replace them that have helped us move up the leagues/league table.

    O'Hare bids

They're fair points. But you don't need to sign a Gyo or Hamer every summer - it's nice but not essential. I know we need to move forward and bringing in better players but brining in a Gyo or Hamer every summer doesn't necessarily equate to progression. MR and his team have demonstrated time...

    O'Hare bids

But when has the squad regressed in the last 5 years, when we've sold our better players (arguably lesser players than CoH but important players at the time)?

    O'Hare bids

The words you used were 'They don’t really give a toss about the strength of the squad'. If they didn't, they wouldn't have paid money for Hamer, no?

Interesting that your profile pic is Hamer? What did we buy him with - magic beans?!

Didn't one of the ITTs say we had already turned down £5m?

I would caveat that with, the price of everything is going up. I know it might not sound much but looking at hotel accommodation rates for all my teams for next season, quotes are up to 20-30% by and large. Gas/Elec, Food, Staff costs - hotels are passing them on. It'll be the same for...

    O'Hare bids

Yeah that's fair. I guess with his injury record, would we get a full season out of him (and I'm a massive fan of his)? I think with CoH - yes he's a vital part of the team, is exciting, hard working and fits in well with the team - I just think that some on here think he's the only player with...

    O'Hare bids

Will be gutted if CoH does go but it at least seems we're not accepting the first offer that comes in and we're pushing back more than we did before. If I'm honest, I think losing Gyo would be a bigger blow so if this means we keep Gyo and have money to buy a suitable replacement (as suitable...

    Transfer Shouts

EPL teams pre-season tours can be booked a year or two in advance but this is rare. They tend to be tied into sponsorship deals so if one of your main sponsors is a Thai company for example, you'll likely head out to Thailand as part of your preseason. For the majority of clubs - all EFL and...
