The agreement for Wasps to move here / 2 years on

This isn't relevant to the current situation? "The vision incorporates a first team-Academy training facility – a facility that is designed and built to facilitate and future proof a Category One status. Having the first team and Academy working on the same site inspires."

The agreement for Wasps to move here / 2 years on

Investing in the academy CCFC is moving towards the fully integrated football model whereby there is no longer a silo model in which Academy and the first team group rarely work together. Dismantling the silos both promotes the acceleration of young players’ development and is aspirational...

Planning application for Higgs submitted by Wasps

It's still not spin. He's been a dick - but it's not spin.

It will only go to committe if the objections fall within the necessary criteria. A hundred people submitting comes along the lines of "This is a stitch up and Higgs/CCC should hang their heads in same as CCFC's Academy will be lost" doesn't mean it will be brought before the committe.

We seem to be moving away from the point. His answer to the question was nothing is certain. You previous reply said this was spin - which this isn't.

Planning application for Higgs submitted by Wasps

But it's not certain. SISU/CCFC may not be able to accept the offer as it's unworkable. I still don't see how it's either spin or PR or can be compared to the type of comments Fisher has made, none of which have come to fruition.

Planning application for Higgs submitted by Wasps

Honest question - how is this spin? He's been asked if the Wasps development would impact on the Academy and he's said nothing is certain.

Planning application for Higgs submitted by Wasps

I think the biggest issue being faced with this site is the infrastructure. I know people have said the roads could be closed, there's sufficient parking in close proximity and people could/would catch the train but it would still be driving people/traffic to an area which only has one access...

Planning application for Higgs submitted by Wasps

I know this isn't what people will want to hear and it's just not being said to antagonise people, but in short I think we're fucked. Planning law/regs are dull and clinical. Whilst rightly so people are absolutely furious at the situation we face ourselves in, this anger won't have any...

Planning application for Higgs submitted by Wasps

A planning application can be put before the Planning Committee if a certain number of objections are raised or you can request your Cllr to call for it to be heard. The problem that will be faced, and this is for info only, is that the proposal is for a sporting development to be built on...

That's exactly what I was suggesting. This should have been done before going to print with one side of the story.

CA: Lease Extension At Higgs Ignored

Oh my days! We've found common ground. There seems to be a general consensus that all bad feelings need to be put to one side and answers sought - this article could have achieved that if Breed had been asked/pressed for an update on their position.

CA: Lease Extension At Higgs Ignored

How am I ignoring what's going on by asking why the article was ran without the other side being approached? By doing so would/may have brought some clarity around what's actually going on rather than all the second guessing.

CA: Lease Extension At Higgs Ignored

Why run the article with no quotes from the Higgs side?

CA: Lease Extension At Higgs Ignored

I'm not turning it on the club - I just don't think this type of article is going to be of any benefit to the situation. Reid's abrupt style of journalism isn't what is needed at the moment.
