Finally got round to building the raised beds I’d been planning to build for the last 4-5 years. Dual-height, so got some at a foot and some at 2 foot. Smartens up the garden massively. Now to fill them! Going to be next season before I start looking at growing though.

I’ve often thought if we actually walked out to the trumpets/cornets bit at the start it’d work quite well. Quiet enough and doesn’t get you engaged straight away to stop chanting and start singing along. Then obviously it kicks up.

Bomb Scare Bobby. I genuinely thought he looked good on the ball last season, absolutely fucking diabolical in the 130 minutes so far this season.

If it doesn’t it’s not the end of the world - we’ve still had some money from Sporting for the ‘option’ in the deal. I’d imagine his sell-on has been reduced to 5% because of this.

Suppose the caveat to that is at L1 you don’t really get the standout teams that are going to average 2-2.2 points per game from the off.

I’ve not been able to watch the game back but my impression was the midfield was hampered by a lack of vertical ‘depth’ i.e. wingers sitting too deep and too wide. The lack of movement from both Allen and Torp wasn’t great either - you want each of them to be providing an easy out to the other...

See, I think if you’ve got Sheaf/Eccles in place of Allen then Torp is fine. At the moment thee isn’t the ‘safe’ options because Allen is all over the place positionally.
