    “Go on, SHOOT!”

Fake news. International games were played with those floater balls.

    “Go on, SHOOT!”

Yes, but the balls were made of actual lead back then. Wouldn’t reach the goal from 20 yards.

    Cyrus Christie

I wonder if the temptation to bring him in (if true) is that it frees up Van Ewijk to play RW whilst Sakamoto is injured.

    Robins

I think one of Robins’ strengths over the course of time (with us, at least) has been surrounding himself with the right people. Seems that has been taken out of his hands now, which will make things understandably more difficult. Tactically he isn’t the best and a lot of our success in terms...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I get it, and in politics terms it was a brilliant set-piece. This clearly hasn’t cut through in the same way and they’ve made themselves look fools.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The argument of “the Conservatives were playing fast and loose with the country’s finances” is only half the story. The ‘spend’ was on nothing of value. If, for example, there was a plethora of infrastructure projects underway then the deficit doesn’t really matter (at less than 2% of total...

Read that as “I’d love to have a manager that actually gives me a semi”.

    England - Lee Carsley Era

FWIW I thought the game yesterday was generally very promising. You can see that there is a structure to the team again, although I’m intrigued what happens when some of the supposed ‘key players’ are back in contention. Decent patterns of play, especially the second goal, seemed a bit...

    England - Lee Carsley Era

It was also more excusable in the early stages of his tenure. We started to see a pattern from 2021 onwards that, when we attacked the big sides, we put them under considerable pressure. To then revert to type in the Euros was baffling.

Looks like Trent will invert alongside either Mainoo or Rice. Interesting.

    January Transfer Window

Maybe on a pay as you play deal, we’re already quite well stocked up top.

    January Transfer Window

Oscar Bobb probably won’t be fit by then so that rules him out. I’d like to see us bring in a youngster like that Garnacho from Man Utd, give him a bit of first team experience.

    Spurs Tickets

Would be interested to know how many U14 season ticket holders we have and realistically what difference pricing them at £10-15 would have made to overall receipts, especially given they are split.

    Spurs Tickets

Exactly this. Also, why haven’t they done a price banding for JSB U14s like the season ticket bands? It’s a bit naughty really.

Bidwell is fucking me off something royal this season.

Ivan Toney moves to Saudi Pro League.

That’s the key isn’t it. He won’t have been on major money so far (think I read he was still ‘only’ on £50k a week at Brentford) and time is running out to get the major contract(s). Couple of years over there and then back to a lower-to-mid PL team I’d imagine.

On a serious note, though, I think it’s the expectation above all else that this was the season we really kicked on. 2 strikers each close to 20 goals last season, opportunity to build the squad out, I’ll be honest I was hoping we’d be challenging for the title (and who knows, we may still do)...

I hope we win and Sheaf scores a hat trick.

May as well not field a team. Season over. Thorn out.
