Yeah, ultimately he just wasn't good enough. Someone else was better. Guess it's about looking what he can do in 4 years time to come into the next Olympics in the best possible position to get over the line.

Wish we'd stop celebrating second place when we come into events as favourite though. I'd be absolutely seething.
Possible that any Hamer transfer could give us a bit of extra cash too, so 2 opportunities.
Biggest concern at the moment would be if Sheaf went. Would give us funds to improve but losing your best player is always a risk.
I really like Sheaf but he does miss big spells of the season at times. If we can replace well it wouldn't be the end of the world.
Would still rather he stayed though.
Yeah, these two look good and have complimentary skill sets. Would be sad to lose Sheaf but can see the appeal of Palace and would be difficult for him to turn down.
As long as we make a healthy profit and can use the money to further improve I wouldn't be too upset. Not sure anyone would pay our asking price at this point though.
