    Transfer Rumour Robins to Hull

I’m certainly not using them to beat him with. I just find it interesting. The Wilson-Esbrand revelation at the fans forum set me off to be honest as it’s not really the type of wing back he’s traditionally used, and suggested to me he knew we had to be a bit more adventurous but obviously it...

    Transfer Rumour Robins to Hull

It’s actually this kind of thing that makes me think he may make a decent DoF (yes, there is some slight romanticism!). Feel like he wants to play a more attacking style of football than he’s actually comfortable with and reverts to conservative football too easily.

    Transfer Rumour Robins to Hull

Bit late to this, but it got me thinking. There’s a decent handful of players that Robins chased and chased - Walker being one of them - and then when he had them for whatever reason didn’t utilise them particularly well. Kitching is another that we know of, and from the fans forum the talk that...

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

Not higher division, is getting game time, but I wonder whether Liam Cooper could be tempted. No idea how fit he is nowadays as he seems to have only played half the games in the last 4 seasons but unsure whether that was because of fitness or ability.

And yet won a penalty. Funny that.

    Ellis Simms

Listen, I’m not suggesting there aren’t times when he looks like he’s not trying, but I think back to our game v Norwich last season when he was (to the untrained eye) just ambling round and then it came out post-match that they’d been effectively told not to press too aggressively. It’s been a...

It’s why I think Binks could work at LB in the system. I’d be in favour of our defensive shape being Thomas Kitching Sheaf Binks Centre backs pulled slightly wider to cover the channels, if Kitching got dragged across to LB then Binks could tuck into CB temporarily.

    Transfer Rumour Kai Wagner

We also have a problem of centre mids being drawn into the attacking play too much. If that becomes 1 in front of the 3 defenders then we’re outrageously exposed.

I opted for Sheaf (maybe because I’m a cuck?) but as long as whoever occupies that position out of Sheaf/Eccles remains defensively disciplined I’d be comfortable either way. We saw Eccles do it vs Leeds last season; just more of that please.

    The goalkeepers

One of the differences, though, is that he’s deliberately parrying the ball to places he knows there are no attackers. Better than our traffic cones. On Dovin, think he’ll come good given time but we needed someone more aggressive. Willing to collect crosses, high starting position to sweep up...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Read an interesting article a while back on the career of an MP when they’re voted out. Seemed pretty brutal.

Dovin MVE Thomas Kitching Binks Torp Sheaf Rudoni Sakamoto Simms EMC Obviously won’t happen but intrigues me.

    Relegation fodder

Wonder if Liam Cooper is fed up of Bulgaria yet.

    LOAN MARKET

Sakamoto could do with the overlap though as he’d spend most of the game trying to cut inside. I actually like the idea of Rudoni starting from LCM and providing an overlap on the left, but it is very contingent on a high press when we lose possession.

    Referee

But quite often you’ll have players that are in no way medically trained basically self-certifying that they are fit. That’s no good to anyone. I seem to recall after O’Hare did his ACL he tried running it off. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a loophole that needs closing but it ain’t easy. One...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The alternative I saw suggested, and this is going back a good while, is to have almost a parliamentary hotel. 650 rooms so each has their own room with necessary facilities. Cover expenses between main residence and parliament but that’s about it.
