That's a hell of a list, isn't it?! To think how much distance there is between MR and all of them...it's incredible really.

If these do happen relatively soon, that's great news in getting them done so early. It's seemed like the last few years that we've not had new players in for a full pre-season and we've struggled to get going early doors. It'll be interesting to see if we can get the majority of our business...

Whaaat?! There's no way Simms leaves this summer. And one too many?! We've only got him and Wright, assuming Gooden is off. Tavares also I guess but has seemingly played better slightly wider as well. We'll need at least one, maybe two new forwards, even if Simms stays.

He's actually looked better playing on the left as opposed to central. And I suspect scored more goals from starting wider than central.

You say they've been a feature of Robins tenure. To be fair, every team goes through bad runs. Even the top teams. The difference is that we're less knee-jerky (as a club) than many and this run at the end of the season has curtailed our PO aspirtions. We could easily have had a crap Xmas...

In terms of momentum, 7 defeats in 8 (if that's what it ends up being) won't have any impact on the start of next season. It'll be a couple of months later, lots will have happened and it'll have quickly been forgotten. Bar Luton, we had a great end to last season and that momentum didn't...

Arguably we're still in a better position as a club as a whole, even if the league position isn't vastly different. The foundations are in place. Or certainly a lot more solid than they once were.

I guess I was thinking more of EPL teams but yeah, you're right. That said, how long do parachute payments last - 3 seasons? That means, there's potentially 9 teams in the Championship still bringing in millions and likely spending to get back to 'the promised land'. I can't be arsed to look...

I didn't see the match last night to be fair but the point stands - it was his first league outing in a couple of months. He was obviously going to be off the pace. Whether he was fit enough to play I guess was up to MR. We're obviously light on numbers given the squad size and the weekends...
