    Ricoh Return

A fellow Cov work colleague here down south, who has as source close to the club, just mentioned a 5 year return deal. He is a really nice down to earth chap, and wouldn't make stuff up. To me it at least gives a bit of hope that there is some rumbling. Could go tits up any second though with...

Cringey football terms deserving of a temporary ban

" In Arsene/Robins we trust." An unoriginal pretentious latin style nonsense. Pundits when they say "let's see what happens" ! "Square ball" 🤣 "Come On" "GET IT OUT" ...heard a lot at HR/Ricoh.... less so in last 4 years 👍 "WHOOOOOOOOAAAHHHHHHHH" in a high pitched half...

    Article on town centre development

Creating good architecture and places is getting more difficult. Money men, banks, number crunchers and viability experts dictate everything. Lack of goverment policy to kick out the crap stuuf and Council planners often lack skills to challenge or improve the quality. On top of that most UK...

    Cyrille Regis

I too heard of Cyrille's passing on radio on drive to work. I genuinely shed a year as he was my first hero growing up..... til he banged that header for Villa in 92ish final game!

    Match Thread Sheffield Wednesday

I think teams in form will want to play even with 1 or 2 out . Teams struggling for form with 1 or 2 out are laying it on a bit thick. Clubs have done this for years with dealing with winter weather. FA need to get a grip on consistency over when games can be called off on Covid grounds as it's...

At what age did you all have kids?

Blind Faith ...there is much more to life than kids mate. They suck the life, energy and time out of you and can be a major source of stress and anxiety the older they get. Certainly not the most important life ambition that society tends to force down people's throats. Happiest most fulfilled...

    Festive fixture memories

Defo gave of mine was the 4-3 v spurs Xmas 1986 just before we started the cup run. Classic City then lost 1-0 at home to Luton on New year's Day. That was the complete antithisis of the Spurs game!!! My old man bought wrong tickets and we sat in Luton end with one man and his dog. Special...

At what age did you all have kids?

33 and 35. Really wish we'd had them earlier....so I didn't get so fucking knackered so easily and because I wanted my late dad to see them grow up more. Still that's life I suppose. Early 30s seems to be the average nowadays.

Great City and great stadium that has barely changed since the 80s (apart from seating obvs) Can still picture the SF there v Leeds like yesterday. Always tight games there v Owls though and I think our record is mixed apart from 87. Lots of draws over the years unless my mind is playing tricks...

    Ryan Reynolds investing in

Wrexham is my mum's team and I have loads of family living there. They are all super excited after 12+ years in non-league and fans running them have worked hard. A very old proud club 1864 or something and got to QF of Uefa cup in early 80s. Good luck to them but 100% sale is risky. New owners...

    Fresh Ricoh talks

In my experience couple of years ago, if a Planning Authority are minded to approve a proposal but Sports England are objecting, then it will automatically go to the Secretary of State, to decide whether he wants to call it in. Failing that the local community groups could Judicially Review the...
