No because I think Simms is better for the team? I just don’t understand why a player who has far less experience and is much younger gets pelters when Simms is hardly living up to expectations himself. They’re also both completely different styles of player.

I agree he did a job and helped get the win. I also do not think he’s currently good enough and at the moment I’m struggling to see if he ever will be. Don’t get me wrong, there are facets of his game which have improved under Lampard. Maybe there is other stuff which will eventually come to...

Not really no. Simms did offer more than Bassette, but then again, that should be expected shouldn’t it? Given the fact he’s older and has had more minutes of late.

Thought Kitching was excellent, very aggressive. Lati very good as well.

It’s a fair comment. I think there are defo people rightly questioning Simms ability to control the ball and do other basics right. But you might be right in that the system doesn’t help a centre forward in that style. He clearly opens the game up for others around him, but is that enough when...

He did work hard. I’ll give him that. I thought he was good against Hull; obviously I realise he didn’t do well for that chance he hit over the bar (I know the keeper saved it but it was going over).

This. People berating Bassette (who wasn’t good either), are the same saying “Simms was good”. He wasn’t.

Instead of trying to score goals 2-0 up, with a one man advantage, can we just be shithouses to see the game out please?

Poor bloke could get injured getting out of bed. Could be a really good player on his day though.

Should have saved it for Jack Rudoni’s performance this afternoon

Think it actually was JDS that got a yellow for his “foul” (where he won the ball). Hence the sub.

Yeah soft. Simms one however - ref just didn’t want to give it due to the red card.

Sakamoto is playing well. JDS off to keep the man advantage due to the strict ref.

It was the classic Lati con-the-ref as seen in the infamous Norwich game. Thankfully it worked!
