Considering this thread was clearly started as a joke, I’m impressed at the way it has become a genuine transfer rumour within three pages!

It was only a few games ago they booed their players off the pitch, sat in 4th place doing that is wild!

Mad that Sheaf is a centre mid and he’s pretty silky on the ball, but he’s also one of the last people you want the ball to drop out of the sky to on the edge of the opposition penalty area. Bobby Thomas strikes a ball well more consistently!

Also, don’t want to take anything away from Sunderland who I think executed their game plan perfectly, knowing it exploited our weaknesses. They defended the box so well and the finishes from the lads up front were very good. That Mayenda is a huge talent. It’s a risky game plan that paid off...

I mean anyone that watches football regularly could see we did show up. Did we do enough in the final third? No. Second leg is the important one anyway!

So glad some of the people on here don’t play for us, some right bottle jobs. There’s 90 minutes of football left and we have to score a couple of goals against a team whose midfield this evening looked like ghosts. Chill!

A fair criticism. Kind of feel like we have to have at least one rapid centre back if we do that. I know MVE drops in but sometimes he is too far out wide to help on a counter.

He defended really well against Patrick Roberts a few times and was decent going forward, always providing an option for a pass.

If they are not playing well at home and we get an early goal, they won’t be behind their players like we are. It’s just what they’re like.

Think the lads worked and tried hard. Sakamoto was good. Won’t harsh MVE out for his mistake. Saw nothing to suggest we can’t beat them in their own ground.

Ah well. It’s only really half time. Think we can win at the Stadium of Light again!
