Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Wrong way round I think. Demand is greater than NHS capacity. Private sector have spare capacity. Some NHS demand is already being diverted to private sector spare capacity as a means of increasing capacity = reduced waiting lists and waiting times. An employer funded private health insurance...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The Employee / Employer commitment issue is an interesting one. On the one hand, I was genuinely astonished about how far some people seemed to be prepared to commute for relatively poorly paid jobs. Relatively lengthy commutes seem commonplace these days, hardly surprising given the costs...

I found those “Man vs Food“ type programmes quite distasteful but for some reason my wife found them fascinating in a morbid sort of way. I did say semi professional - would mitigate health risks.

Social care for some is paid for by local authorities not the NHS.

Where are people begging to pay £500 extra in healthcare costs? The discussion started with a poster describing a scheme ( in Germany? CBA to go through pages of posts to find it) where employERS were paying the equivalent of £7 per employee for private health insurance. People are paying for a...

Don’t worry, the rub of the green comment was followed by “thats by the by”. Why say it then?

Wasn’t Simms miles away to the right as you face the goal with the ball bouncing to the left. He would have had to be twice as fast as MVE or Haji to have reached the ball. And if a foul or offside committed by EMC had already been given, any goal “scored” would have been disallowed making us...

Be interesting to see that yet again as I thought EMC was moving towards their goal. His foot was up to try and flick the goal over their keeper who then wiped EMC out. An overhead kick as such would have been a clearance. Just seen it again, I still think it as as above so it could have been...

What about scoring? Assist and completion by two Robins signings. How disloyal of them!

    Parking

It’s reasonably priced compared to parking in the city itself. I was shocked a few years ago to be charged £15 for an afternoon “shopping” with my wife. Park and ride every time now. Easy to get in and out of, no hold ups in that regard. How are trains from Nuneaton and back these days?

You are correct, phi wouldn't cover everything. I don’t know of any private hospital that has an A&E department for example. Private health tends to be very good for elective care which is preplanned ( possibly mainly on Friday judging by the number of car park spaces in hospital staff car parks...
