Eldest wants to live in Paris for a year before uni or after it, she’s 15. Really hope some form of youth mobility goes through before then.

Cowardly politicians. You can’t go into an election promising it but you can take some hard decisions on tax and fix it when you’ve got four years left. If you’re lucky you get the benefit of people feeling the care service working before the next election. Worse case the furore has died down a...

Depends how much it costs the insurance to fix. The expensive ones will still be on the NHS because that’s how private insurance works. By letting private companies cherry pick the profitable procedures you leave the tax payer picking up the bill instead of risk being properly amortised over the...

Ans you’re lucky that you can. But you shouldn’t have to and neither should anyone else (within reason) for the same reason we have the NHS: it’s mostly a lottery as to who needs what that everyone has to go through so best to nationalise the risk.

Your pension isn’t the bit that costs. It’s health and social care. The vast majority of NHS spend is on the elderly and social care now eats all of council budgets and then some. And as mentioned doubles those costs and passes them to the NHS when below capacity. It’s really nice to pretend we...

Don’t think it did. The doc says Sporting covered the original sell on due to Brighton that was €2.2m IIRC. Don’t think it mentions future sell ons but that might be covered as part of it.

    2025-2026 Season Budget

Ballpark figures: Wright and MvE - £20m Sheaf and fringe players -£6-10m Vik - £4m ST sales, TV money, etc will go on wages which is where we are behind the top of the division, whether we can increase that will determine how much we can upgrade more than the fees we bring in I reckon.
