Longer term possibly. Certainly fits the bill for leadership & experience. Huge salary for a short term loan on a player not played competitively in 2 years though. Especially as the season is over. Is he a realistic summer signing given he has another year on a £45k p/w contract? Is he...

    Transfer Rumour Rob Holding

I agree. Just not sure a player on a huge salary who hasn't played a first team game for almost 2 years is the answer.

I agree. Doesn't generate £££s for Doug though which is what I mean about it being a departure from his previous stance. Here's hoping.

Buying young, undervalued talent. Yes we should be supplementing that with experience but King didn't want to do that in the summer. Loaning a 29 year old that is training alone & barely kicked a ball in 2 years, on approx. £45k per week which they'd expect us to cover a significant portion of...

I just don't get it. A complete departure of what we're supposedly all about.

Or they actually had a striker on the pitch.

He also fell out with, or didn't even speak to, a lot of the players at Chelsea in his first spell either, Petr Cech had to step in as a go between. re: the star struck, play better bit... There was definitely excitement & expectation amongst the fanbase that the midfielders at least would go...

Overall really frustrating... For an away game at a ground where we always struggle, there were a few positives we hadn't really seen under Lampard before. Plenty of endeavour & a clear plan to press & counter attack. The actual system despite initial eyebrows was ok too given the injuries we...

    We look poor

Quite a lot of people had heard it by the QPR game that midweek. Baffling it still took more than another month to get it done.

Great finish tbf. Should be relegated for having goal music though.

Don't want to speak too soon but we've been relatively solid for 60-70mins but backs to the wall now. Thankfully they don't have Sargent to capitalise on those balls over the top, allowed us to have a very high, aggressive line.

He's a real nuisance but his technique is so lacking.

Really don't get this Bassette experiment. At least we can go a bit more direct now.

Yeah. The goal has knocked the stuffing out of them. They look much less fluid & we can slow it down.
