He played well. You just hate him, not sure why. Same with Biamou. You bore everyone. You would never admit it if he had a good game.

I actually thought he was great today. I left the match and read this thread on the train and was really surprised to read the abuse. Very unfair and driven by people searching for scapegoats.

I totally agree. Players give the ball away all the time but if it leads to goal in the next phase, people act as if it’s a worse mistake. It isn’t always. BTA played well today with a mistake or two. It doesn’t mean he should never play again.

I don’t closely follow who says what on here like others but I have to say that you are the person who seems to have the biggest ‘agenda’ that I notice. All you do is pick people out for anything positive about Robins and negative about Lampard. It’s definitely an agenda. But it’s ok to have an...

Why would Grimes not start? He’ll be first name on the team sheet. It seems likely to me that we will go with Grimes, Eccles and Sheaf and Torp coming on possibly.

Lurking is normal on a forum. Obsessing over another forum user is way more tragic.

Match Thread Oxford United - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 1st Mar

I think Torp may start if fit. He was playing well before the injury and there will surely be some rotation with the CMs. Sheaf won't start, Lampard always seems cautious in bringing players back from injury preferring to increase their game time from the bench. I would think Bassette would drop...

Match Thread Coventry City - Preston North End FC Match Thread - Saturday 22nd Feb

If Saddlebrains is right, and he always is on line-ups, this is exciting. JDS, BTA and Lati weren't great last time out so good to see Bidwell and Tats back in and EMC starting. I just hope we can get them in advanced positions and hit the channels, they could do a lot of damage against these I...

Match Thread Coventry City - Preston North End FC Match Thread - Saturday 22nd Feb

Fair point. I suppose it comes down to definition of 'must'. I uess 'must-win' is short for 'must win if we are going to get enough to points to reach the milestone I have in mind' in this case 6th place. So there are 'must-win' games, but this isn't one of them.

Match Thread Coventry City - Preston North End FC Match Thread - Saturday 22nd Feb

The concept of a game being 'must-win' is a bit like the argument about whether we are 'in a relagation battle'. It's meaningless, just a cliche. We want to win all games and the more we win the better our chances of whatever we're aiming for. Like the relegation battle, everyone is battling to...

    Calling it early

Yes this is fair, maybe ‘character’ was the wrong word. I just didn’t like him, maybe it was the association with Chelski, Jose, Oligarchs etc. We are used to that stuff these days but they were the first and it stank. Possibly not his fault but I had a dislike for him and Cole and Terry etc

    Calling it early

I’m exactly like Shmee, I didn’t want Robins gone and thought Lampard was a terrible choice. I didn’t like his character when he was a player and viewed managerial career as mediocre. I an willing to admit I was maybe wrong. We have been on an excellent run. Of course it’s possible that Robins...

Match Thread Coventry City - Queens Park Rangers Match Thread - Tuesday 11th Feb

You've mixed up your 80s advertising slogans, "You can do it if you B&Q it" "Don't just book it, Thomas Cooke it". I am very aware of this as I grew up in the 80s and my name is Thomas Cooke

    Ipswich player ratings

It’s odd reading all of this, isn’t a big part of how we have played the fact that our last 2 oppositions are much much better teams than us? This was a second string but th et still had Phillips and Szmodics and Broadhead etc, all above our level. Having a go at Saka and JDS (and Raphael!) for...

Match Thread Coventry City vs Leeds United - Match Thread - Weds 5th Feb 7.45pm KO

We were outplayed that half. 2 errors caused by the fact that we are panicked by Leeds. Right from the start you can see that they are better than us and we feel like we're fighting a losing battle. It would take something spectacular for us not to lose this. Maybe Grimes and Sakamoto can be...

Match Thread Coventry City - Watford FC Match Thread - Saturday 25th Jan

I get this. But isn’t it ok to not want something to happen but then change your mind when it’s not as bad as you feared? I was against the change of manager (not vocally on here) but am warning to it. I think that’s ok x

Match Thread Coventry City - Watford FC Match Thread - Saturday 25th Jan

It's amazing to read how people feel about everything after a couple of league wins. It takes so little to change the outlook. If we lose today there'll be loads of doom and gloom again. I am as guilty as anyone though. I think we are on the up and have started looking at who the teams above us...
