    Championship thread 25/26!

Tbf I think we've routinely argued that all our new stadium projects, both real and imagined, would have a benefit for the local economy

    Item 25/26 Coventry Kit

I generally like the Hummel kits, but all the throwback stuff is getting a bit stale, especially now the club's own retro line is so well stocked these days.

Match Thread Sunderland - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 13th May

Think an extended debate about the historical origins of Sunderland's club nickname is hands down the most boring excuse for banter this forum has ever seen

    Your personal City cult hero

Yeah I always liked Moldovan for some reason. Was a strange signing really, we never seemed like we knew what to do with him. He did pretty well almost everywhere else in his career, won the Ligue 1 title with Nantes a couple of seasons after leaving us.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdxvz9p6635o Feels like an elderly man being kicked to death by two teenagers while out walking his dog in what was potentially a racially motivated attack should have been a bigger story than it has been tbh

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

The two Sunderland games simply aren't representative of how we will approach games next season. If we end up shipping out Wright and replacing him with Kiefer Moore or Carlton Morris because we think that's the only way to win then I'd be incredibly disappointed.

I’d hardly say she’s unheard of, she sold out Hyde Park and has a stadium tour with Kendrick Lamar booked this summer. I don’t really see how she’s any different to Shania Twain in any case, and Avril Lavigne had a bigger crowd than both of them! Glastonbury has done a better job than any other...

Who’s we, in this case? SZA had a tiny crowd but then again so did The National on the Other Stage (I know because I was in it!) Glastonbury has remained popular because it’s taken more risks with bookings and headliners, while other big indie festivals have disappeared. There simply aren’t...

As for Kneecap, every political party and tabloid paper in this country seem to be conspiring to them make them massive. Which is a shame, as they’re rubbish.

    Festivals 2025

The Glastonbury lineup is about as good a representation of modern music as you’re going to get in any one place. Maybe you think modern music is generally shite, but it’s particularly stacked this year, even if the three headliners aren’t huge names. There just isn’t the same interest in bands...

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Given that de-Nazification is what this whole war is about, maybe it should be the only stipulation.
