    Bradford v Millwall

Terrible game. Two fairly ordinary teams who are both just well organised. Crap support from Bradford. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk

    Concert at the Butts

Coventry City Council: Planning Application Details CRFC have applied for permission to remove the condition that bans concerts at the Butts. There is something planned for the 27th May apparently..... (Feel free to move to Off Topic chat if you like Nick)

Anybody on True Coventarian on Facebook

Some interesting comments from Bob Ainsworth, demonstrating the contempt he has for his constituents. He apparently had to "put up" with people moaning about the EU. The poor lamb struggling by on an MP's pension now. Labour wonder why they're struggling.

    First to the fourth

How many clubs have done it? Funny that either opponent in the FLT final have both done it and some, both having dropped out of the league, although Luton did make their way back up to the second tier less than 10 years ago. Burnley Wolves Bradford City Notts County Can anybody think of any...

    ARVO's new stadium

We may be able to go and visit this weekend: Oldham News | News Headlines | Avro's new stadium is taking off - Chronicle Online Before any pedantic twat (like me) pipes up, I realise the slight difference in acronym.

    Simon Gilbert's Book

I read it in about 2 hours yesterday. 5/10 I was hoping for some insight into why things happened, I didn't get it. The book starts out reasonably well but steadily goes downhill, the last few chapters are pointless fill. Timings of events are not described at all which then doesn't help map...

    John Solako

Views on his time at City? Personally, think he was a good player who got a hard time off the fans. One thing I think he lacked was a yard of pace, probably a result of that serious knee injury. His crossing was excellent.

    Test train at Nuneaton

Just coming through treacle on the train and saw a train on test. This is the company that will supposedly provide shuttles for the Ricoh station.

    What would be your ideal...

Top flight, if we ever got there? Which teams would you want up there with us? Let's try and lighten the mood a bit... I reckon: Arsenal Spurs West Ham Chelsea QPR Southampton Villa Wolves West Brom Leicester Derby Forest Sheff Wed Leeds Man Utd Man City Everton Liverpool Newcastle

    £100-120m

Wasps reckon they're going to invest the above in "hotel and retail" in Cov. Car Park C mentioned. Armstrong sees ACL as a property developer with a rugby club pinned on. Also reckon they're the 3rd largest employer in Cov (which I am sure is utter rubbish); Council, 2 universities, Jag, UHCW...

Burge 7 - improving and generally made the right decisions. Seems to have bulked up which helps him coming for crosses Turnbull 6 - did OK Willis 5 - can't really forgive the basic error for the goal. Needs to be a bit less frantic at times Harries 5 - really struggled and distribution not great...

    Another huge Ricoh event

According to the CT (must assume this is a paid for piece) http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/whats-on/music-nightlife-news/jason-donovan-coming-coventry-huge-12207943 It missed the line about the Ricoh Arena putbidding major competitors such as the Walsgrave Working Men's Club to stage the...

    Old CT Article

Wonder why it was updated on 26 Apr 2013? For anybody who seriously believes that the council's investment in the Arena was ever a bail out for the club, think about it. It was a regeneration project that they pushed for as much as anything. The way it is portrayed that they bailed the club out...

    4-4-2

What have managers (Mowbray as well) got against this classic formation? Why have English managers sought to impose various versions of 4-5-1 on English teams and English players, particularly considering that most English players are schooled in playing 4-4-2 from a young age? It is completely...

Cook 7 - made a couple of good saves. Caught some crosses in a crowd. Cleared it properly. He's improving Willis 7 - solid Ricketts 7 - marshalled the others well, made some good interceptions Turnbull 5 - their only chance of the first half came down his side, he was pushing too far up and...
