    Mowbray, Go or Stay?

Anderson is a strange one, indeed, on many levels - his purpose and role at the club seem almost superficial. As for TM, can someone fill me in on how much hands-on training he has with his players? A rough estimate will do, since I assume he still does not live locally?

    Steve Evans

He's a c**t, without doubt. But... ...if he steered the ship around? Motivated the team, instilled some self-belief in them? He can't do any financial damage to us, he'd be lucky to fill his pockets at a staff buffet.

    Tony Mowbray

Couldn't care less if you've heard it all before, mate, the reality of the situation is clear to anyone with a decent pair of peepers. So your solution is what, exactly? Sack TM and hope for the best? Yeah, he probably is close to being out on his arse, but what then?

    Tony Mowbray

Oh right, another plaster to cover the gaping, fatal wound. Let's entice some promising young manager to the club, see how long it takes for the club to fucking ruin him too. :-)

    Tony Mowbray

Not a lot, admittedly. The point, as always, gets lost amidst popular calls for the manager to go. Yes, TM is juddering to an absolute halt and galloping up shit creek with no saddle, but who is to fill his shoes? Anyone with potential, experience or leadership seems to falter and then die on...

    Tony Mowbray

Great, so we sack Mowbray, then what? Who's next into the breach? The fundamental problem here is not the manager, it's the club itself - rather, what it has become. Chris Coleman, anyone? Flopped superbly with us, but just led Wales to a Euro Semi-Final. I rest my case. Managing CCFC is...

Match Thread Coventry v Oldham Match Thread - Saturday 17th Sep

Wow, there was me mowing my grass, hoping that we'd actually turned up, and I've just read through 3 pages of bollock-shrivelling appraisals. Back to my mowing, methinks. Ironic, 'cos at this rate, Mowbray will be on Gardening Leave.

1-0 today, considering the defensive cop out from Oldham.

    Things that annoy you

When your 5 year old wakes you up on a Saturday morning, at 7:12am, by power-bombing your knackers through the mattress. Needless to say, the little fucker is getting no pocket money. Ever.

It'd be rude not to, I suppose. :-)

The 5 greatest inventions/discoveries of all time!

No, never, never. In fact, my theory is that most male drug habits are the direct fault of females. One has no need for morphine once the divorce is finalised. One is treading on fucking sunshine. :-)

    Sky blue or yellow?

They could stick their re-franchising bollocks up their arses; how any fan could contemplate a total shift in identity and shitting on our heritage is quite amusing actually. Of course, it's hypothetical, and I'm not about to start keyboard mashing over it. But no, I'd oppose such a proposal...

    Celtic's gradual demise.

Doesn't it always... I truly detest the manufactured, government-sponsored hatred that exists in the Old Firm. The fans act like fucking zealots for God's sake, when I highly doubt they're attending their respective churches the day after a match. Hypocritical, spring to mind. Hate each other...

    Possible Takeover

Fucking shirt buttons, I hope. I do love a dip in the rumour pond, it gives one such false hope. :-)

    Petrov

Absolutely, and in my opinion, he would offer more than Cole did. Petrov seems out to prove himself, and we could utilise that.

    Petrov

To be fair, I'd take a post-cancer Petrov over most midfielders; absolute quality, and good on him for beating the disease and still having the desire to play. Fans were quite prepared to accept Joe Cole, but not a player of Petrov's calibre? If he had a successful trial, if indeed he is on his...

    Things From Your Childhood

Nope, our level of productive use of surplus fireworks night stuff was to light sparklers and ram them in the nerds' coat hoods. Were were a sadistic bunch at Bishop Ullathorne.

    Things that annoy you

Indeed. Apparently the instances of drivers using their phones has reached 'epidemic' levels, something like 19% of UK drivers are fannying about on their phones whilst actively driving. It's a tad more than annoying, to me anyway.

    Jacob Murphy

Exactly this. Overall, his season with us was a success, and by God I'd have him back if only for 6 months. Was it 9 or 10 goals he scored for us?
